Is this too passive-aggressive?
Would it be awful to anonymously buy a pair of nail clippers for someone and leave them on their desk early in the morning, as a hint that I'd really like for them to stop grossing me out by chewing on their nails right in my line of vision ALL DAY LONG!?
ETA: I wasn't really being serious... just kind of venting. I guess I should have made that more clear. lmao

I say yes b/c the sound of people clipping nails in the office makes me cringe. It's a hygeniune maintenance thing...I would never sit at my desk and shave my less, floss or brush my teeth.

If it were me, I probably wouldn't leave anything. I think if I were the person that got the nail clippers left on my desk, I would feel really self-conscious from then on and that would make work really uncomfortable for me.
At my old job, there was a girl who smelt disgusting all of the time, so people left air fresheners all over her desk; it was so mean.

Ha, I would totally leave her a little manicure set or something.
(Or at least I would threaten to repeatedly. Much like I've threatened repeatedly to leave our receptionist who coughs non-stop a bag of Ricola and a bottle of water.)
