my husband just informed me my numbers were "way off". He thinks I'm crazy for estranging myself from family - but refusing to put the dog down. Priorities.

I totally LOL'd at your DH comment.. the difference is, your parents don't rely on you! You're totally in control of your dog's life. :P

2. Move across the country. Assuming it was for work...and after all the hassle of selling a house, probably buying a more expensive one... $300k?
3. Leave DH. Can I take the money and go back to him? Heh. Not something money factors into for me.
4. Shave your head. I guess $5k-$10k. I think I wouldn't mind wearing a nice wig for a while.
