Overnight trip from Dayton/Cinci
My birthday is coming up in mid-March and I told DH I want to go on a trip somewhere to celebrate and to get away from a lot of stress over the last several months. We live in Dayton and would be driving. I'd like to find somewhere that is not too far of a drive so we could drive down in the morning, do things all day, spend the night, do more the next morning and then drive home. I'm thinking no more than 3-4 hours in the car each way, max.
Any suggestions for places to go and things to do? We'd be going around March 20th. Thanks ladies!

Re: Overnight trip from Dayton/Cinci
I agree! Hocking Hills is really an easy trip to take from Dayton. We live in Dayton also and we've been doing this trip over the President's Day weekend for 3 years. We hike during the day and sit in the hot tub and drink wine at night. There are quite a few scenic trails and areas to stop and if you just want to lay around the cabin, you are in a beautiful area to do that. If you just want to stay one night, be sure to pay attention when you are making reservations. Some of the cabins have a 2 night minimum.
What types of things do you like or are wanting to do? Shopping, hiking, get a massage, fine dining?
We like hiking, museums, historical places, shopping, eating, beer tasting, relaxing.. we're pretty open.
I'll definitely take a look at Hocking Hills. DH has always wanted to take me there.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
I'm hoping to plan some day/weekend trips soon! These are two places that came to mind.
