Weekend plans?

Re: Happy Friday!

  • May and I are going to Davenport today... after a three hour drive my parents think it would be a great idea for us to go to a minor league hockey game. I don't really want to take her as I don't think it's the right environment for an infant and it will interfere with bedtime, but will offend them greatly if I tell them I don't want to because my sister will be coming with her 6 month old and my brother with his 14 month old so I'll just look like a snobby b!tch who looks down on their parenting skills.

Tomorrow we have a baby shower for my cousin's wife and then we're going out to supper for my grandma's birthday. She's 71 going on 110. I called her yesterday to tell her happy birthday and she gave me a guilt trip about not being able to see May much.

Sunday we'll come back and get ready for the work week! Hopefully stinkypants doesn't get too messed up with being out of routine this weekend.

Well, that turned into somewhat of a rant...but I'm sure we'll have fun. Especially since we're going to the outlet mall on the way down there! SCORE!

  • Oh outlet malls...I'm glad I live far away from them [for now]. They would be the end of my bank account if I was closer to them. :P

It'll be just me and JJ this weekend for the first time in almost a month...it'll be nice to stay put and hang out. Tonight is our dinner night [and watching some NBA All-Star weekend action, heck yes!]. I'm hoping he goes to bed early and sleeps 11 hours...I have some things to catch up on.

Tomorrow, we're meeting my mom in OKC to update his spring wardrobe [he's outgrown almost EVERYTHING - including shoes - that we bought him in the fall], and I need to drop by the Commissary to do some shopping for the week.

Sunday will be a fun, relaxing day at home. If It's nice out, and my mom brings up his jogging stroller, we'll go for a walk around the track near my place. I'm very excited I'm not sitting in snow again this week...I know that makes me sound like a weakling and big baby about snow, but it's true!

  • Ebonie, most of our snow has melted and I'm ecstatic! No shame in that.

Wicked Faire is this weekend, and I'm halfway between excited about it and scared of it. I was sick too recently, and these are long, grueling days. It starts tonight at 5:30, so I'm going straight from work - brought jeans in the car because face painting in a suit? Um... no. It goes to about midnight, then tomorrow morning I'm in the office, then straight to WF again, to face and body paint til about one a.m. I know I have at least 2 big body paintings lined up. Then WF on Sunday from 11 - 4:30.

I found out I have Monday off, so if Rand can't go, I'll be driving to Lancaster with E to get our new "coffee table."

  • Today - Off work early since I had a lot of hours this week.  Headed to "frolic" in the sun with a few friends - prob hike around or check out Rutgers Gardens.  Then off to happy hour, and home for dinner w.H.

Sat - Teaching in the AM - one of the best classes full of fun, energetic peeps!  Saturday we'll be cleaning and organizing, starting to prepare to lose half our house.  The architect came yesterday and it's looking like we could be getting started around April/ May.  Will know more after H meets w.the Township ppl today.  Sat night pizza & beer & dog date w. friends

Sun- cleaning shopping/ planning the garden!  Might start building my chicken coop!!

  • No plans here, but you know what I'm hoping to be doing :)

  • Rodgers has training this weekend - he's leaving around 5:45 tomorrow morning and will be home Sunday night. Nate and I might go visit family, not sure yet.

  • DH works late tonight, so no real plans.

Tomorrow he's going in to help seal some of the entry tile in the new office, yay overtime! I'm hoping to get most of the cleaning and laundry done so we can go out for dinner. We also have Paranormal Activity 2 from netflix, so movie night!

Sunday I'm really hoping to get our shower done. So a trip to Lowe's and lots of work work work! All we have left is to finish the trim, seal it and then sand and repaint the ceiling. I hope this can be a one day project!

  • Today:  Grocery shopping & Cleaning

Tomorrow:  2 friends of mine from college are coming to visit.  I'm really excited to see them:

Sunday:  DH is going snowboarding with my sister her her DH.  I'm going up to the mountain with them with a book.  DH is CRAZY about me staying home by myself so I told him I would ride up and hang out around there.  Pray there is comfy seat around.

  • Today...I called in sick. I did a couple calls from home and have been monitoring email, but I needed a day to go get my car serviced. I went to the gym, got the car serviced, ran to this Jewish grocery store to buy some stuff during that, and then had an awesome bagel for lunch (by myself, it was great :)).

Tonight- H is going out w/ his friend for dinner who is having issues w/ his other half...not sure if I am doing anything.

Tomorrow- hopefully gym in the AM, then H and I are going to my grandmothers for an early lunch/brunch. Wish me luck. She and I butt heads quite a bit.

Tomorrow night- I assume we'll go out for dinner.

Sunday- Not sure. Gym if I don't go tomorrow. Laundry, etc.

Monday- I am "working" because if I do, I get to days of vacation for giving up a holiday. and since I want to go away for a long weekend, I won't need to use vacation time for working this holiday. So, it will or should be a slow day. Yay!
