FridayFridayFridayFridayFridayFridayFRIDAY

TGIF!

I was a busy bee last night considering I was PMSing, had an awful day at work yesterday and was up early.

MFD read my black cloud mood and ordered a pizza for dinner.

I made a mushroom barley soup, wiped down the bathroom, cleaned the powder room, put a load of laundry away, ran the dishwasher, wiped down the kitchen, walked the dogs, dusted the living and dining and upstairs including pics on walls, gave the dogs their heart worm, laid out clothes for today, packed lunch, and painted my nails and toes. Magnifico by Essie.

I watched Teen Mom and Vampire Diaries on DVR and went up to bed to read at 10:30. I fell asleep around midnight and slept veddy veddy well until 6 a.m.

I came in early again for this stupid project, please God let it be out of my hands before noon.

MFD had to call Geege 400 times to go out this morning, Geege must not have fully woken up. I opened all the windows this morning when I got up. Glorious!

  • YAY!!!! For Friday! More importantly YAY for a 3 day weekend! Thank you President's Day!

I also watched Teen Mom last night on my DVR and Jersey Shore afterwards. Oh, how both those shows make me feel good about my life.

No big plans for the weekend.

  • and again, stephanie amazes me.  dear lord i am so lazy during the week.  so so lazy.

i went home early yesterday, felt pretty icky.  had tea, took a nap, couldnt stand being inside on such a beautiful day and went for an almost 2 mile run.  i know that isnt impressive to most, but running 1.75 miles to me, non-stop, is a huge accomplishment.  i then walked another 1.75 miles.  it felt really good, but lord did my legs hurt last night.  i really need to get my act together though if i want to run a 5k this spring.

    it is 4pm yet??

  • Super duper TGIF.  Yesterday went super fast and I hope today does the same.

K was in a foul mood last night - he had a lot of trouble putting together the glider we bought and then bowled badly.  We had leftover meatloaf for dinner and after I cleaned up the kitchen I snuggled in with the puppy and my book.

And then, at 2am, I was wide awake.  After a quick trip to the bathroom and a (big) snack, I happily caught a few more zzzz's.

One good thing - K and I talked about our recent lack of nookie.  We're getting along fine, but I guess we're both giving off 'uninterested' vibes, or at least that is what we're picking up from each other.  'The Belly' and lack of sleep aren't helping things either.  Hopefully we can resolve that either tonight or this weekend.

Steph - I have the same problem getting Tanner up some mornings, especially the day after she's been to Doggie Daycare.  I try to get her out before I leave for work but if she's being too difficult I just let it be K's problem.  I'm terrible.

  • I'm determined to help H find a job. There were a few postings today that looked good so my fingers are crossed. There are just too many people on the itnernets that are finding jobs and getting interviews that I'm determined he'll be next.

I can't wait for today to be over! I'm getting a pedicure tomorrow and H and I are going to the beach on Sunday to visit his parents and get some super amazing sushi.

  • Finally Friday!!! I sound like a frog this morning but barrelling through these therapy sessions and then testing three kids and I'm out of here and heading to Jax, FL. It's supposed to be in the high 70s/low 80s all weekend so we're talking about a trip to the beach tomorrow. I'm just ready to get out of Augusta and be away from any drama from either family.

We got our taxes done yesterday and were surprised at what we're getting back so that was good news! Jeremy washed the car while I made baked ziti and then I curled up on the couch with my book until it was time for Grey's and Private Practice.

  • I had the opposite problem with Pierce. My alarm went off and he was standing by my bed wagging his little tail. I on the other hand did NOT want to get up this morning.

  • Hi girls!  TGIF fo sho!  So sorry I've been MIA, still adjusting to the new position at work.  I've found my niche and there's plenty of time to surf, I'm just too lazy to ever post.  I've become a lurker :p

Steph, agree w/ pp today and yesterday, you are the hausfrau queen!  I can barely feed myself when I get home from work, let alone clean anything.

Shauni, 1.75 IS a big deal, at least to me.  I've been working on the INSANITY workout and holy hell, it's called Insanity for a reason...

SO glad for a 3 day weekend!  Brother comes home from FL again today and I'm picking him up at the airport after dinner w/ my German bestie (who's in town).  Then a child's bday party Saturday, followed by GNO (girls night out) and the Mammoth game (lacrosse) Sunday.  DH and I feel like losers since we haven't really seen any of our friends lately.  This weekend will definitely change all that.  Whee!

hahahaha I just got an email from my friend Michelle that said "I was a lazy slob last night, especially after thinking of what you were probably doing, that's why I kept texting you to try and throw you off of your productivity. Did it work?"

I am impressed by your 1.75 mile run, madam. I have not run in decades. Great work!!!

My dogs were so flipping happy to be on a walk last night, with the snow pretty much gone they had to sniff every blessed thing because it all smelled new.

  • Nichole - good luck to your hubby, I hope he finds a job soon. Things are coming around for a lot of people that have been out of work. Also, very jealous...I want to drive down to the beach. I will be in AC next Saturday, I guess that's good enough for now.

SusieQ - I need to make meatloaf soon now. My mouth has been watering since I read your post.

  • Morning!  Jeff has a doctor's appointment today and I've been needing the car badly, so I dropped him off in order to run some errands.  Mainly, taking care of this whole passport name change nonsense.  I had to make an appointment, though, and it's not til 10:30 so I'm just wasting time.

We filed our taxes last night, too, and it was sort of depressing.  Jeff was going to get a huge return, but I was going to get seriously effed over if we filed separately, so we filed jointly and cut his return in half.  I'm glad we're getting something back, but it just sucks that it's not working out how we thought it would.  It may have been slightly better overall to file separately, but I would have had to pay penalties (not sure how much) and it didn't seem worth it to take a huge hit now and then wait for the refund to be deposited to his account.

I've missed you lady. I'm scared of the Insanity workouts just because of the name. I'd like to borrow it for the class I take on Thursdays at the gym. I deal with residual sore muscles until Monday. Eeeeeee. Today I'm doing my exercise outside since we're approaching 70. Wooo hooooooooooo

I have no plans tonight besides to go to Lowe's. Hotsy totsy, right?

Tomorrw I need to do a bit of laundry and chores, hit Produce Junction and then go to my stepmom's dad's 80th. MFD has a gig tomorrow night and lots of our friends are coming so it should be a good time, particularly for me as he is the DD since he's playing.

Sunday I will bask in the oblivion of the couch, DVR'd shows and movies. And naps.

  • TGIF!  SO excited for my long weekend this weekend - my office has Monday off for President's Day.  Unfort Ivan does not have the day off with me =( but we'll be able to enjoy Sat and Sun together.

He and a few other people from his office all donated 2-3 of their vacation days to his co-worker so she can take more time to be with her sister.  It equaled out to 2 more weeks of time for her and she was SO happy.  I don't have a good vibe about her sister so I'm glad she has this time now to be with her.

Not really sure what our plans are for the weekend - things are kind of up in the air, but we'll think of something!  Looking forward to just sleeping in and relaxing.

  • I am nervous as hell about taxes. We won't do them until March. MFD always have to pay and I feel like I'm going to get effed.

So...in March I need to renew my license. It sort of doesn't make sense for me to renew it in my maiden name. I have not changed my name yet. I need my passport in September, and I don't want to pay the $140 for a new one, especially since MFD needs a new one this year, but I guess I will.

  • I went into clean-crazy-lady mode last night becuase I have not done house work in atleast a week. I did four loads of laundry, mopped the entire house twice (with 2 hours in between), unloaded dishwasher and loaded it again, bleached counter tops, cleaned H's closet, and cleaned master bathroom (toilets and all), went to sleep around 1am, so needless to say I slept really good last night. I guess in my crazy cleaning frenzy I took out the trash and forgot to shut the door back all the way. We live in an apartment so they spring shut but not actually click, So H gets home at 12:15am and comes in the room with a wierd look on his face and says did you know they door was not locked and not even shut all the way. So i got a mini lecture on why I shut double check the door before I get in bed.

We have laid back plans this weekend. Our roomate is gone until monday so we will probably just relax and spend some good quality time together!!Wink

  • Thank goodness it's Friday!  I'd forgotten what it felt like!!!

Last night Don was over at his Dad's until about 8 helping him get some stuff done so I took that time to clean up the house...since we don't have cable anymore it makes it a lot easier to come home and clean/pick up since I'm not trying to watch my "girly" shows before Don gets home.  We had pizza for dinner...so yummy!  And then we watched SVU, Modern Family, and a few episodes of Raising Hope on Hulu.  It was a pretty good night.

Tonight we having some amazing plans...errands followed up w/ a trip to the grocery store...contain yourselves ladies I know we lead an exciting life, LOL!!!  And we don't have diddly squat on the agenda for the weekend either, besides Don working.

  • I worked til nine last night, H bought a big electric fireplace and started trying to put it together, but if course there us a huge crack on the side of the mantle top so I got to call customer service this morning. Gotta send in the receipt and a pic of the damage before we get a new part sent. Crap all over my house til then? No thanks. H also informed me this morning that Piper needs a bath. Gee, thanks I'll get right on that. Gotta work 6-9ish tonight, H is going out with some friends. :( he works in the morning Saturday, I work noon-9 so that's bust. Who knows what Sunday holds, and I do have Monday off, so that'll be nice. My house is goinh to be worked on in the cleaning department today, so hopefully that'll help my mood.

I'm half way in the same boat. My name is changed at the SS office but I still need to change my license and bank junk. I put it off til we moved and now I just keep putting it off. Since I have Tuesday off, I'll probably go then and do all the bank stuff too and finally be completely done with all that mess.

  • Oh, I'm so happy it's Friday.  Halfway thru yesterday, my back started hurting.  I can't move without lots of pain.  I made it home and laid on the hard floor for two hours with a heating pad.  Watched Community which made me laugh - which caused more pain, but I couldn't stop laughing.  Showered in pain, then went to bed.  Apparently, as long as I'm laying down, there's little to no pain.  Get up, and it rapidly becomes massive.  I'm still trying to figure out how I made it to work.

I'd like to ask my boss if I can leave early, but she's not in a good mood.  Going to the doctor whenever I make it home and hoping they give me something.  And then, instead of baking for the boys' poker game and trying on dresses for my MOH's wedding, I will be spending the majority of the weekend on the floor, trying to avoid pain.

    I feel like I'm 80 years old.

I am in the exact same position, I changed my name with the social security office and got my card back, but thats all I have done. The next thing I will do is get my drivers license changed. I hate waiting at the DPS because the wait is always so long. Then I think everything else will be pretty easy. I am not going to change my passport until I have to though because it's over a 100 dollars.

  • H's birthday is today. So some of his fam is coming up this weekend.

Tomorrow, we're going to a Devils' game. Tomorrow, we're going to lunner with his mom, sis and g'parents.

Sunday, we're supposed to be going out to a birthday dinner with BM & MOH. I really think they're going to bail. I'm ambivalent. H doesn't really care and quite honestly, neither do I. I'm looking forward to a nice, romantic dinner just the two of us.

  • I'm here too, and also super glad it's Friday.  I've got a ton of work that I'll have to do over the weekend and on Monday, but at least I can do it in my jammies!

We're keeping plans light this weekend, because I've got work to do.  We do have a fundraiser for the homeless shelter where I volunteered and served on the board of directors until I moved in with H (because it's an hour+ away).  It's such a cool event - potters donate bowls they made, and your ticket gets you a handmade bowl & soup.

  • Well Happy Friday Afternoon.  Only 9 am here but lunch time for most of ya.

Last night I did two loads of laundry and watched American Idol.  For the life of me I cannot use the darn DVR, so I had DH set it to record for me.

I have a hot date tonight and tomorrow night, with my husband.  He's getting out early tonight so we're going out for drinks.  Then we're going out to dinner tomorrow and possibly a movie.

I'm just waiting for a call back about my interview, the waiting is killing me!

Yay!  It's a popular fundraiser.  Last year we even went to a pottery studio and made some bowls, which was cool.  I got to try my hand at a pottery wheel.  It totally made me want to take it up as a hobby.

I'm still getting over my pain from Tequilla Thursday with some co workers last night. Ugh...even typing that makes me hurt.

Tonight I've got my oh so exciting acupuncture appointment and SIL is coming over so we can leave at the crack of dawn to brave the roads to go skiing this weekend.
