How would you pronounce...
Karolien?
Caroline? Carolynn? Caroleen? How?? That what my cousin is naming her daughter (she's due a month after me) and she wrote on facebook that people keep asking "like Caroline?" so that makes me think that they pronounce it a little differently.. I'll eventually ask. I can't find it on any baby name websites to see how they would pronounce it.
IMHO, I'm not a fan of the spelling, no matter how you pronounce it.
My overly happy baby girl!

Re: How would you pronounce...
That's how I'd say it too. I'm not a big fan of spellings like that. The poor girl is going to have to explain her name for her whole life!

Another Caroleen here too. I don't like the name or the spelling.
A friend just had her baby Wednesday and named her Braelyn. Not a fan of that either. I was surprised this name came from them too.

I also would probably say Caroleen.. but maybe it is Caroline, like how the LN Klein is pronounced Kline...
I am definitely not a fain of the spelling of the name no matter what the pronouciation ends up being. Either way she is going to have to spell her name and pronouce it for people all the time.

Ha!
I'd probably say Caroleen too. And I'm not a fan of the spelling either.
