I was sitting here looking through posts, and suddenly my brain woke up and went - ohh, it's Friday! Digs time! So while hubby and kitty are still asleep, here ya go!
I took these Monday afternoon, while we had abundant sunshine, and tried to get several angles, so bear with me.
Our tiny bathroom. Towels are hanging off the door, and potty's to the right, which you literally have to be sidesaddle on, or your knees wind up on top of the tub.
Our kitchen. Every time I cook/bake, the chair in front of the oven has to move.
This is what you see as you come in the front door. We had to rearrange a little back by the pantry shelving for Lola's litterbox.
Miss Lola hid behind our Dyson for a while. BTW, if you ever get the opportunity to own a Dyson vacuum, please do. I LOVE that thing!

Our bedroom from the kitchen. Welcome to loft or studio apartment living - only 4 doors in this place, and 2 lead to the outdoors (1 we only have a key to).

Bedroom leading to the family room.
Family room, complete with Zach trying to stay out of the picture. I used to have candles set up in that fireplace, but with Lola now a family member, I didn't want them getting knocked over. Please excuse our lack of storage.
Our family room. Can you tell it was a bachelor pad before I showed up?
Where the magic happens. The picture on the side of the archway changes seasons as you walk by - it's my favorite, as it really screws with our friends after they've had a few.
Our Lola - she finally came out of hiding, and will let us pet her if we're sitting on the floor. She's still skittish, though.
The strings around all the windows are Christmas lights - I couldn't bring myself to take them down, so we still light them on occasion, and the strand over the bed is actually 2 strands, and goes all the way down the wall shared by the bedroom and kitchen.
Re: The Schuette digs
I love your shower curtain, bedspread, fire place, and I am jealous of your vaccuum!!!
Speaking of a toilet you have to sit side-saddle on...
The house I grew up in was TINY (around 750 sq feet) and the bathroom was little AND had the hot water heater in it, which was right in front of the toilet. Eventually we "remodeled" and they built a fake closet around the HWH, which left even less room between it and the toilet. So, you had to sit side saddle, and that's the way I grew up. So, I still find myself doing that today, even if there's plenty of room. lol

We used to have that same shower curtain! Don't you just love it???
I also am totally jealous of your Dyson. And I love the archway between the bedroom and family room! Very nice place!
(Side note: Lola is adorable, and it makes me laugh that your husband hid from the camera in the fireplace!)

Yay! I'm so glad I'm not the only one with "storage" issues. Except mine is WAAAAY worse. I have an entire room and walk in closet of stuff. I'm hoping to get rid of some stuff this weekend.
So glad Lola is warming up to you. She just needs time. She is adorable! Thanks for sharing your place!

I love the archway too. Things like that give a place character (in a good way). Also love DH in the fireplace.
Thanks for sharing!
Your Home is Cute Love the arch way to the bedroom!
Also love the photo of your Husband hiding in the fireplace that made me laugh!
Lola is very so Cute!!
I rented a place that was about 400 sq ft (if that) and the bathroom was like that, you sit down and next thing you know your knees are up under the sink, or your legs are in the shower... it's not very fun.
Super cute!!! I do love the bathroom decor, even though its super tiny
Your husband in the fireplace is absolutely hilarious!
Have you heard of
http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/
or it's 'sister site'
http://www.re-nest.com/
Both of these sites have tons of article on living in small spaces and awesome ways of making it work. Some of the articles are like for millionaires, but others are super budget friendly.
I had to go back, I didn't notice your husband in the fireplace the first time! Hilarious.
I love the bathroom stuff too. I'm a big fan of stripes.
And I agree on the Dyson, I love ours.

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermUgh I wish I had a dyson, lucky!
Your apartments cute. It reminds me of the one I just moved out of. But I love that archway, and your cat (she's adorable, and good to hear that she's finally coming around).
I wasn't supposed to tell you Zach was in the fireplace - he wanted to see who'd notice. I told him none of you are anti-observant enough to not notice.
Megan - Yes, I love the shower curtain! It's only one we asked for (asked for 2) that people bought the towels, floor mat, etc to go with it, so we use that one.
Hannah - His relatives are a little scattered, but most are in Nashville, IL. His aunt lives in O'Fallon, as do a few cousins. What's a Quad City?
Emdizzle - I haven't heard of those, but I'll definitely check them out. For the time being, anything that doesn't fit around here, my parents are letting us store in their basement. I swear our closet has Mary Poppins magic, though - I keep putting stuff in, and it takes it like a trooper.
And can I just say....YAY KITTY!!
