I saw that you are getting your hair colored for the first time. How drastic are you going? All over color? Highlights? Both? I need the deets

LOL... thanks for asking!!! The current plan (at least as discussed at my last cut) is to do lowlights in a few shades of darker brown to make it really rich. I have pretty fine (and not thick) hair, so adding diameter instead of stripping it away is key.
I'm also planning on doing the wife chop - probably taking about 4-6 inches of length off (see pic below for what I'm thinking of, just in darker tones)... It'll be the first time with my hair above my shoulders since I was in college, when a hair stylist in town chopped off my boob-length hair to above shoulder, when I asked her to take off 2-3 inches of dry ends.
