Unpacking our new Waterford China...

So, I'm unpacking our new Waterford bone china... We have been married for one month today :) and our new china cabinet FINALLY arrived.  It's all going to go in the china cabinet.  But I'm wondering what your thoughts are... Should I keep the boxes the china came in?  Or toss them?  I'm leaning toward keeping as we think we'll be moving in a year or so.  But the husband thinks that's CRAZY!

Re: Unpacking our new Waterford China...

  • Knowing you are moving relatively soon and if you have the space, I would keep them.  I would also keep the kitchenaid mixer box if you have one.. Our KA Pro mixer won't fit in any normal box except really big ones.

    Yes

  • Keep the boxes for now.  I normally trash everything, but knowing that you're moving soon, it'll be so much easier to pack them in boxes that were made for them.  GL.
  • Thanks for the input, ladies.  I will definately hold on to the KA mixer box.  I'd NEVER thought about it not fitting into anything but a much larger moving box.
  • We knew we'd be moving within a few years so we kept every single one our original boxes. Our basement storage room was filled floor to ceiling - my husband and father thought I was crazy that is until we did move. Having the original boxes made our move so much easier! Packing and unpacking was a breeze and I had so much piece of mind that things wouldn't break. We've since recycled all the boxes - we're never moving again
