Silly Friday Confession

I ate broccoli and popcorn for dinner last night. Lazy? Yes.

Re: Silly Friday Confession

  • I had cereal for dinner. 3 bowls of Lucky Charms. Embarrassed
  • We had Annie's Mac and Cheese and steamed green beans for the very same reason.

  • We had Mexican food for dinner. And then DH decided he wanted dessert (and of course I did not object) so we went to another restaurant we love with friends and we shared some pie and bread pudding. And then the super nice manager brought us a FREE milkshake. I should have jogged home...

  • DSS is visiting this weekend, and we have made tentative plans to go to the zoo tomorrow. But I don't want to go to the zoo tomorrow, I want to stay home and sit on my couch all day watching Lifetime movies and knitting. :)
  • I ate cookies for breakfast yesterday. No worries!
  • While trying to think of what to do for his birthday, it came out that DH was always sad because his parents almost never took him to Chuck E Cheese and he always wanted to go there and have a birthday there. SIL spoke to him and mentioned how our 3 y.o. nephew was wanting to go, so now we are going to Chuck E Cheese on DH's birthday this Sunday.

I am surprising DH by buying/filling a pinata, another thing he never had as a kid, some silly birthday decorations, and ordering a (more grown-up) Boston Cream cake for when we get to SIL's house. It's totally silly but I think he's going to LOVE the silly surprises.

I LOVE that! I had a pinata for my 30th. Now I want to go to Chuck E Cheese for my birthday. I went when I turned 7 and had the best time.image
  • I was watching the show "The Middle" and there was a little boy on there with a speech impediment. He sounded just like the first Big Crush I had (in 6th grade). His name was Timmy Rojas (but he pronounced it "Woah-hoss". He called me "Mowissa" lol). I remember liking him soooo much. I haven't thought about him in years. So I tried to see if he had a facebook. He doesn't.

  • So after coming home to nothing from dh on Valentine's Day, I politely made it clear that I expect at least a card every year.

The day after V-day I came home to a heart-shaped box of chocolates and a card so sweet it made me cry.

My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.

  • I can't afford to get much of anything so I haven't been looking at much. I do want this though. When I was out with wldkz we saw this and it was signed by the author/illustrator. I hope when I feel better I can go back and get it. Madeline was one of my favorites as a kid:
