For those who have filed their taxes
Did you file Joint/Married or Joint/Separate? How much was the difference in your refund between the two? Any suggestions for write-offs? I am going to work on mine tonight since I finally received my info for our mortgage. TIA!!

We did turbo tax deluxe edition for $30 and I was very pleased with its simplicity, especially this being our first year in our purchased home.
After entering all our info, turbo tax 'told me' that filing jointly would give us a better refund, but I can't recall the difference off the top of my head.
I do our filing, using TurboTax. I have in our W2's but our waiting on misc. forms. We're going to file married-joint.
I input both ways and our overall fed and state return is $1K high if we file jointly. However, interestingly enough...if we were to file married-separately our fed refund drops but our state return would increase from $100 (value for joint) to $1200! Still, joint gives us the best refund!

Thanks for all of your input! I am going to use turbo tax and hopefully going to work on them tonight. I will report back with what I figure out.
