I'm normally a lurker but wanted to share.
I'd read an article on yearly cleaning and maintenance you should have done. One item on the list was the dryer vent because if it gets clogged the heat build up can cause a fire. Our house was empty for the three years prior to us purchasing it in August. I had the dryer vent professionally cleaned yesterday and it's a good thing I did. It was clogged with...ready for it?...EIGHT (8) birds nests and the first one had eggs in it!

Yuck! I was all ready to go down there and start going through my dryer until you said dead mouse. Maybe DH can do that tomorrow...
