So I've been procrastinating cleaning my house all week for my mom's arrival today thinking I'd have the evening to clean b/c she usually doesn't leave till late afternoon. WELLLL she informs me last night she's leaving about lunch time. FML, house = disaster. So I get some cleaning done last night, but not a whole lot since I didn't get home from work till almost 7. I just called her and she's already HALF WAY HERE!!! AHHHH!! I'm an hour away from home and my house is STILL a mess. omg, I should have not procrastinated AT ALL. She's like 3 - 3 1/2 hrs away. ugh.
Anyone have a cleaning fairy I can borrow? Have my house clean by the time I get home? Maybe I can mind meld with the dog and have her sweep the hardwoods with her tail and tell the cats to clean the kitchen counters for me. ![]()
At least the guest bathroom is clean. I guess that's a good thing to look at.
Re: Procrastination = bad
I totally just informed my cleaning fairy that she's needed at your house. She's been a little slack too, but when motivated, she's awesome!
-- You could be sneaky and take her out to dinner, just the two of you and ask your DH to clean real quick. . . .but that could totally be an idea fail on my part. My brain is fried at the moment from a philosophy test.
Good luck!
GOOD LUCK!
Yes bathrooms being done are a good thing.
Don't forget the kitchen. That is the big with my mom.
So I squeezed out of work early and at least got my kitchen cleaned before she showed up. DH didn't get back from his work trip until 10pm, so he was no help!! I just kept her out of our bathroom and everything was ok.
Thanks for the good vibes!
