Hello finally:)

Just stopped by and cannot believe all the KU Niners especially those who have been TTC for so long! My love and prayers sent to you and to my further along ladies.   I'll be honest. I had some issues with Postpartum depression and I had no ability to go online and chat.  That combined with no sleep, a baby with acid reflux and breastfeeding problems= Suckiness.  Luckily I've gotten help with all the above issues and will be able to visit you all more on here.  Hopefully more once I'm at work (ironically).  Anyway, I really miss you guys and wanted to let you know why I haven't been on..

Re: Hello finally:)

  • So happy to hear from you and that things are going well, despite what sounds like a little bit of a rocky start.  It's good to know that you're getting into a routine.  Your little Nate man is adorable!  Joel and I were checking out your pictures on facebook and getting excited for our little man to make his appearance into this world!  I rarely get to post here although I read daily, it will be good to have you back around though!
  • Aww thanks! I remember checking out Miss Pippa's photos near the end and getting excited for Nate's debut.  My best advice to you and Joel is to be open minded and go with the flow.  Things may not go as planned but the emotional awards are there regardless.  Also, utilize all resources from your families, books, doctors, etc.

So happy for you; you're almost there!!!

  • I am so sorry that things took a while to improve.  I commented on FB, but he is so cute!  It is so strange to think that Weston was that tiny only a matter of months ago.  Refux is hard.  It luckily hasn't affected Weston's sleep, so I am sure it is quite a struggle.  If you ever need to talk or have any questions feel free to contact me.  I am no expert by any means, but have dealt with reflux, latching issues, and in general just being a mom :)

  • Congratulations again- he's cute!  I'm sorry you've struggled with PPD- I understand that can be an extremely hard thing to go through and I'm glad you recognized it and hope whatever you're doing is helping!

We'll be around whenever you have a moment to come back!

  • Hello!!  Welcome back.  Congratulations again, he is so adorable, I was just looking at his pictures on facebook.  :)

I am sorry you have struggled with PPD but I am so glad you are getting the support you need.  Having a newborn is so hard without other challenges thrown into the mix.  If you ever need support about breastfeeding issues, reflux or just sleep deprivation, I would love to chat.  Looking forward to hearing more about Nate when you get more time to go online!

  • Sorry to hear you've had some troubles, but glad you're starting to feel better. I hope everything is well with your family, and we'd love to see more pictures!
  • First of all, your little Nate looks absolutely precious and a huge congratulations on his arrival.

Like others have said, having a newborn is difficult on its own and I'm so sorry you've had additional challenges. I'm so glad you've gotten the support and help needed. Phoenix has also had really bad reflux that we're still trying to control, and although I did not have PPD, I still have difficulties dealing with my c-sec and how her birth went, so I can kind of understand some of that emotional strain - so please don't hesitate to message me if you need someone to talk to Smile

  • Hey sweetie! Glad you're back, and congrats on your sweet baby boy! As others have already said, good for you for taking the steps to manage your PPD. I know that's a hard step to take but it's so worth it to be able to enjoy your baby. I'm still dealing with my PPA, I just take it one day at a time. So I can relate to what you're going through. If you ever want to talk it out, I'm here to listen! ::hugs::
  • Hi! It's nice to see you around! I'm sorry to hear about the things you've been struggling with, but I'm glad you've been getting some help. I hope things get better each day:)

  • Hey there!  I've thought of you a few times, and it is good to hear from you.  I'm sorry you've had a rough month or so, and I hope it gets better.  Like others have said, recognizing and asking for help from PPD is huge, so you should be proud of yourself.  Hope to see you around here more!  And yes, more pics please!
