Can you buy biodegradable sunscreen locally?
My H and I are going to Mexico the beginning of March and I'm wondering if you can buy biodegradable sunscreen somewhere around the cities (Trader Joe's, etc). Last time we went I ordered off Amazon and it was really expensive and we pretty much have the whole bottle left.
Or, do you think ours is still good? It's two years old with no expiration date and I've been reading conflicting opinions online. The last thing I want to do is trust it and then get REALLY burnt.
Re: Can you buy biodegradable sunscreen locally?
When we were in Mexico we were told that you couldn't buy biodegradable sun screen in the US at all--now I don't know if that's true.
I would just use what you have and maybe bring a back up in case (of just normal sunscreen). If you are anything like me you will know if you are getting burnt within a matter of a couple hours.
I know that biodegradeable stuff in Mexico was super expensive. We ran out of our sun screen and had to pay $17 for a small bottle of Hawaiian Tropic.

Tired after a long morning of hiking and swimming.
Are you going to an ecological water park that requires it?
I would guess Whole Foods has some.
We were lucky and got some from our concierge guy at our resort when we were down there. The stuff in the gift shop was so obscenely priced.
Yes, we want to go to Xel-Ha for the day. It's unfortunate since that's the only excursion we're planning on and would only need it for the day, but I'm assuming the price is outrageous if we would buy it there. We have an almost full bottle from our last trip (2 years ago), but DH burns easily and I would hate to have the vacation ruined b/c of a sunburn.
Do they not give it out there? We got free packets of it when we entered when we were there 4 years ago. Not sure if they still do it, but I think it was so people didn't put on sunscreen before they came that was non-biodegradable.
