She is a beagle, and she is 8 weeks old.
Our other dog Macy has needed a friend for quite sometime and now she is sooo jealous of this new dog. We see little moments of kindness but mostly she is still unsure. Hopefully she comes around soon.

very very cute!
I think its normal to be jealous ... Im sure she will realize soon that this is a good thing! :-)
SO jealous! She's adorable! What a sweet little face. I'm sure they will be fast friends as soon as she gets used to having a new perky little friend!!
DH won't let me get a puppy something about me not wanting to walk it in the cold and rain and him getting stuck with that job...I'm not sure I see the problem
Seriously! How cute!!!!
BTW - If you get a cute little toy-sized dog, most get enough exercise in a standard home/apartment, so you could save actual "walks" for those days of sunshine and warmth...just saying. : )
Yay!! I have a Beagle also...I just love the little beagle faces :-) Also, ditto pp...there will be a slight adjustment period, but before long they will be the best of friends!
We had our Beagle first (Kinsey O'MacKinsey the Irish Beagle), and after two years it was clear she needed a sibling. At first she and Trevor (the little black dog) had to check each other out, and she beat him up all the time, but within a month or so all was well. Now, I can't imagine one without the other one. Have fun!!

What a cutie!!!!!
@Laurie - I always say that I would never ever have a dog if I lived anywhere cold, but maybe a little one would be fine
