Wicked was so fun last night!
After some initial mishaps, like them trying to put me on the main ballroom. Um... I'm not sticking pointy paint brushes near people's eyes in the dark. And I can't see what color I'm using when there are flashing, colored lights. And I can't hear my customers over the goth and thrash metal bands, sorry. So they let me move to the front lobby, which is very cool. They're so good to me. And it never seemed to end. I finally left at 1 a.m. Now I'm at work and exhausted. And going back straight from the office in a couple hours!
Re: Wicked was so fun last night!
You were painting faces during Wicked last night? that's awesome! how did that gig come about?
Lots of kids? Kids and adults?
No kids, it's a 16+ event. It's all weekend, so I was there last night, and again today/tonight - got home about half an hour ago. And we're back there again tomorrow from 11 - 4:30. I do face & body painting. LOVE this gig, lots of canvas! And parties. After body painting this woman Toni this evening, she brought us down the hall to a party where we had some STRONG sangria and I painted a couple more people.
I found out about it because a guy I've been friends with since junior high (I was in 7th grade when he was in 8th) played guitar & sang at one of the original Wicked events. He went to Rutgers with the faire organizer. Now he & his wife run sound on one of the stages there. So I've been doing face & body painting there for several years now.
I'm resizing photos now, and I'll be blogging it tomorow night on my njbodyart.blogspot.com blog. It's my adult body art blog with the 18+ warning so I can post body painting without worrying about it.

Sounds fun, Larissa!
Now the question is, how was the painting after the strong sangria? ;-)
I kid...
It was a blast! It feels like this was a reeeeeeeeeeeeally long weekend, though. I'm so tired.
Blogged it here: http://njbodyart.blogspot.com/2011/02/wicked-faire-2011.html
Oh, and Jackie, the last two paintings on Saturday - the tribal and the geen scaly guy - were done post-sangria.
