Happy Monday/President's Day to you all!
I'm so very glad that I don't have to go to work today.
Saturday we went to a tile liquidators and got the stacked slate ledger stone for the fire place and picked a tile we think we'd like to go with for the kitchen floor. Then we went to the home show, which for us could be summed up in 1 word: lame. I don't know why I expected it to be any different than a wedding show, and it wasn't. It was a bunch of higher-end house and home vendors vying for your business. Oh well, now we know!
Yesterday Derek got started on laying the rest of the hardwood floor! He couldn't get going on it before because we didn't know where we wanted to put tile and where we wanted hardwood, but thanks to the lovely eeeeeeeva for help with the kitchen plan, and some consults with friends, we'veg got that nailed down. We've got about 1/2 of one room left, and it's done! Wahhooo!!!
I'm up now and waiting for Derek to get up and make me breakfast, then I'll help him lay the rest of the floor and get to baking!
What's everyone got on the go today? How was your weekend?
Re: Gooood Morning!
Morning ladies. Raynes you are so lucky to have today off. I am here at work, and would much rather be at home today.
My weekend was busy. Friends came over Friday night and we celebrated DH's ne RN license. Saturday was filled with laundry, cleaning and shopping with DH and the boys. Yesterday we went to church and had lazy time after that.
Today is another filled day with work and some overtime. Looks like another week of a lot of work hours. Ugh.
Have a great day ladies.
Happy Birthday Raynes,
My weekend was pretty much relaxing I got a lot of things done for university, I plan on doing a little more of that today too.
Today I have a RE appointment to find out if my ute was damaged after everything that happened, so I'm just looking forward to having answers even if they aren't good answers.
Happy family day! Both Phil and I are off. I've got laundry, floor washing and relaxing on the menu today.
Oh, and making marshmallows or cookies or jellies. That's also part of the deal.
Raynes: Happy birthday!
Mo: vibes for good news at your RE appointment

Happy birthday, raynes! MO, I'll be thinking about you today; keep us posted.
I had a good weekend. I spent Friday night with some friends. Saturday I had lunch with some more friends, one of whom is getting ready to move across the country. My sister came down to visit my mom over the long weekend, so I went down to visit them yesterday. That was fun but now I'm a little bit jealous that they're both enjoying the day together while I'm at work.
Good morning!
Been kind of MIA lately. Work's been so busy so I'm really glad to have a day off. The weekend was OK... V and I visited IKEA to get some ideas for our new house, but we didn't buy anything because they were having technical difficulties with their debit & credit systems when we got to the checkout. (We weren't planning to buy furniture anyway, just a couple of toys for a 1st birthday party we're going to next week.)

Good luck Mo! Lots of vibes and thinking of you.
Friday we watched The Kids are Alright, and then Sat we left for a baby shower in NJ - I went to the shower, P hung out with the dad-to-be and all his college friends. It was nice and I love that group of girls, another wife just suffered a m/c 3 wks ago, so we kinda clung together. I also got my pd that day, so on to another cycle. That night I went to bed with a sore throat... woke up sick. So now I have a cold, just when I thought I was going to make it out of the winter healthy.
At work today. Hopefully it doesn't drag bc I want to crawl back into my sweats and lay in bed.

Friday we went to the ILs to check on their cat (they are out of town for two weeks) and do laundry. We also watched a movie on their HUGE tv. It was nice. I went to bed feeling a tad bit under the weather and woke up the next morning feeling gross, and so went the rest of my weekend...and today. Saturday I had a conference to go to all day and Sunday we just took it easy most of the day, I actually had like 3 hot baths. They really are magical.
Good morning! I am about to wrangle Rex into his carrier for his first trip to the vet. Wish me luck! Other than that, I am going to make bread and recover the dining room chairs.
ETA: Good luck at the RE, MO.

Saturday I went shopping with my mom. I scored a really cute grey dress I can wear to work for $18 at JC Penny (reg. price $120). I also bought a couple cute tops at Kohl's. I love President's Day sales.
Sunday we went to brunch at the Falcon Club at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. The food was excellent. After brunch we went on a VIP tour of the Academy grounds.
Good Morning! I have today off...one of the benefits of being a teacher.
Busy, busy weekend for us. We were at the house pretty much everyday, all day. We got a lot accomplished though. Most of our time was dedicated to spackling and sanding, but we were also able to completely clean and set up the kitchen. My parents came down to help out, which was great. My aunts and uncles traveled an hour and a half to suprise us with champagne, a house plant, and a gift card to Home Depot.
All in all, it was a fun, productive weekend. This weekend, we officially move in. Can't wait!
Hope you ladies have a great week!
Good Morning!
This weekend was busy since it was birthday party weekend for Jordan. Can't believe he is 6 today. I am working today. We are taking him to eat tonight for his bday. I am hoping to get my house cleaned this week.
I was back to school today after last week off...the kids were pretty good, though a bit whiny coming back after break--but then, I was a little whiny to be back too
I got home from Florida about midnight on Saturday night. The trip home was uneventful and yesterday I pretty much just hung out for the day. Ed had today off, so he went grocery shopping and has been working on the laundry all day, so now I can just hang out for the evening...yay!
