Re: PG/Mom Check-In
Blossom, Have you tried gripe water? That worked wonders with Declinn. She had the worst gas it was painful for her. Gripe water really helped her.
Declinn is doing great. She is crawing all over the place and starting to work on standing on her own and taking a step or two (with help). She is like a broken record when it comes to her words. She says mama all the time and will every once in awhile will say gama. I cannot believe she is almost 11 months old! We are starting to plan her party and, of course, I'm starting to stress about it.
My twins are doing great! They are 10 months old today
Crawling a mile a minute in different directions! (maybe those last 5-7lbs will come off chasing them aroud!) Mason is the more mischievious one! They are starting to pull themselves to stand and are just so proud! We are feeding them quite a bit of "people" food. They love eggs and meat!
Starting to think about their 1st birthday party... Don't even know where to begin except we are going to have it at my parents house because they have a bigger house and a huge outdoor deck (crossing fingers it will be nice enough to be outside) Any ideas? Please send them my way as far as themes, etc. Thanks!
One of my firends had a rockstar party for her son's 1st bday. She gave him a mohawk and he had jeans and a little tshirt that said AB CD with the lightening bolt (like AC DC) and a studded belt. All of the other little kids were dressed up too... it was adorable.
Zoe was born 2/17/11 and is doing great! She is so cute and I love watching H with her.
BF is tough work but I am happy that I am able to do it! I was worried that having a c-section would affect my milk, but I started BF her right away and stuck with it and I'm so glad I have gotten this far!
I am 37wks today and finally almost feel like I am ready to meet Lila. My shower was over the weekend so I spent the better part of yesterday organizing the nursery and washing all of her clothes and bedding.
I have an OB appt tomorrow, I am hoping for some sort of progress. I have heard so many of my friends complain about how uncomfortable they were at 37wks and how "ready" they were for their LO to come out. I have not experienced that yet. Other than the side kicks and my feet that look like they belong on Shrek, I haven't really been uncomfortable at all. However, I have noticed that its getting harder to get up off of the couch and out of bed, especially in the middle of the night.
I finished painting Lilas dresser over the weekend, now I am on the hunt to find the perfect knobs for the drawers. H and I can't agree on anything! We still need to put the 1/4 round down on the floors but my stepfather promised that he would come up and do it for us this week. After that, its just a matter of giving the trim a fresh coat of paint and looking for a few things to put on the walls and her nursery will FINALLY be finished.

I had my shower this weekend too, which was awesome. I was holding off on buying too much stuff until after the shower, but as I suspected would be the case, little girl clothes are too cute to resist, and we got mostly all clothes and very little off our registry, so we need to do a lot of shopping this week. I'll be 37 wks this week, and I'm suddenly feeling a time crunch to do everything I want to do before she comes. I think it is just wishful thinking, because I'm feeling pretty over being pregnant. I am definitely much more uncomfortable and more exhausted with this pregnancy than last time (but then I am older, and chasing around a 3 year old all day long).
I LOVED. LOVED, LOVED being pregnant last time, I am kind of sad I never got to experience that same feeling this time. Not that I dislike it, it just isn't like last time, and I'm kind of ready to get the show on the road...but at the same time, I am scared of what it is going to be like having a newborn and a 3 year old. (Also, in my opinion, everything you hear about 3's being more difficult than 2's is pretty true.)
I sure hope to hear an update from Jennifer today... I've been thinking about her non stop since late last night.
I'm over the headaches, I've started to see a chiropractor 2x a week and if it doesn't get better after next week he is going to have me seeing the massage therapist in his office so hopefully my insurance will cover it. I am also going to the eye Dr tomorrow to see if getting new glasses might help since I'm on the computer all day at work.
I went to the fair today and know I will be paying for all the walking I did, but man did it feel good. I know that I need to keep it up because it will be good for both me and baby. Hopefully it will help with the weight gain that I anticipate since in the last week I have gained back 3 of the 4 lbs I've lost this far. I've also hit the lovely stage of having to pee every 10 minutes or so.
