First Anniversary Coming up in a month.. what to do?

Hello Ladies! DH and I will celebrate our one year anniversary in exactly one month. About 2 weeks ago we decided to combine V-day and our anniversary and take a 5 night/6 day trip to Disneyland. however, because of when our spring break falls, we couldn't do anything on our actual anniversary. So, here is what I'm thinking: order a mini replica of our wedding cake (we didn't save the top), pull out the wedding dvd, and just have a romantic night curled up on the couch.

What do you think? Any other ideas that could make our anniversary "extra" special? I was thinking dinner, but I'm not quite sure what.

Dh and I are doing almost exactly the same thing for our 1 year anniversary. The caterer that we used for our wedding also runs a carry-out only resturaunt so we are getting dinner from there. Our wedding was the biggest wedding she had ever done (she was just starting to do weddings) and some days she was more excited about our wedding then I was I think! Anyways she has offered to make the same meal in her resturaunt on our 1 year anniversary so that it is like our wedding meal all over again.

I guess it depends on the type of guy your H is. Mine would do that for me, but his idea of a good evening wouldn't be sitting on our couch watching our wedding video.

for our first anniversary we went back to the hotel we got married at. they had a deal going on where we got a 3 course meal for 2, champagne, roses and chocolate covered strawberries in the hotel room and breakfast the next day. It was fun.

this year, we are going out to a fancy restaurant for dinner. probably sex after that.

I think your idea sounds good. we did a Disney honeymoon so the anniversary trip sounds awesome!

Also, like Valentine's day, your anniversary doesn't have to be THE only day you show your love for each other. A quiet dinner and snuggling on the couch, watching your wedding DVD sounds perfect to me.

We took a 4 day trip the week before our actual anniversary due to schedules. On the weekend of our anniversary we decided to have a mini-party. We sent out evites and invited friends and family over just to eat, drink, and celebrate with us. It was really casual but fun to have everyone over again a year later. We also celebrated in our own way that evening. Wink
