dh and I just booked our plane tickets for our jamaica trip! we booked the resort last april (eek!) and now that flights are available we added those on.
I had plans to get a new passport w/ my new married name on it before we went. Our travel agent said that there's no need to. She can book the trip in my maiden name so it matches my passport. She said I can do this with any international travel. I'm glad she told us that! saves me some moolah.
I'm sure she knows what she's talking about..but has anyone heard different? (ahem..steph...world traveler!)

Second Carrie. I still have my passport in my married name and if I am going to travel international then I will put my ticket in my maiden name (not that I travel international much) and when we fly within the US I just put it in my married name and use my driver license.
I probably need to get my passport changed but I still have 5 years left on it, so I am going to wait until I have to renew it again.
i used my old passport on our honeymoon (2 weeks after the wedding, after i'd submitted my ppw to SS for the name change) - we'd booked everything using my maiden name. like carrie said, b/c everything was booked in my maiden name and it matched my passport, no questions.
b/c my passport was issued w/in 1 year of our wedding, i was able to get it switched for free right away, so i got it changed after we returned from our honeymoon. it seems a bit odd that someone could travel under their "old" name forever, essentially, but i guess why not!
