How was everyone's long weekend?
We had dinner with friends both Saturday and Sunday night. Yesterday I was really just a lump on the couch. The zofran is helping, but I am still getting sick. Blehh. I am actually off today and tomorrow. What did everyone else do?
Re: How was everyone's long weekend?
My sister came up for the afternoon on Saturday so we hung out at home and then did a little shopping. The rest of the weekend consisted of me playing with Lil (even during church on Sunday because I was the nursery volunteer).
The weekend continues though because it is vacation week
. I plan to run some errands, do some shopping, and possibly take a day trip to the Cape to visit my aunt and uncle's new house.
Kiwi: Are you a teacher also? I love vacation week! : )
We had a productive weekend. We bought a new washer/dryer and I got my new range. Sooooo excited. It's here now, but it needs to be hooked up. So now, we are waiting for the plumber to come back and fix it. Yay!
Sunday I made Barbara Lynch's Braised Short Ribs, from her Stir cookbook. They were amazing.
Yesterday was a lazy day. We went out to RH and to Bloomies, but did not really find anything fun. : ( (I'm so glad there is not a Bloomingdales Men's store in Boston that we could walk to.)
The rest of the week... well I need to start being productive. That's no fun.
C, I hope your MS goes away soon (or at least by your 2nd tri).
DH had to go away for work unexpectantly last Monday so we had to cancel our plans for the weekend and I had to come up with other things to do.
Saturday I cleaned some in the morning, had lunch, then hung out at my parents' house for the afternoon. I helped my mom cook dinner, then spent the rest of the evening at home and did our taxes (sad Saturday night, huh?!).
Sunday I did some errands in the morning and finally bought some rain boots for this spring. I'm sure going to need them when all this snow is melting! After lunch I cleaned the house some more, then went out to look for shoes for the wedding I'm in later this year.
Monday I was planning to spend at home but my dad asked if I wanted to come by so I had lunch with him and my brother and stayed for some of the afternoon. I then went and picked up my BM dress from the bride and chatted with her for a while.
Yep. LOVE vacation week. There are some years it is more needed than others, like this year.
Kiwi: You know... with all of the snow days one would think we would not "need" this vacation. Our kids were done, and the amount of sickness going around the school just solidified the need for this vacation.
I had a great extended weekend visiting and catching up with friends in San Francisco. It rained a bunch while we were there which was a bummer, but otherwise we had a great time and packed in a lot of get togethers in a short time frame.
I also went to a yarn show while I was out there which was fun.
C- I hope your ms leaves you soon! You're so close to 2nd tri!!
Our weekend was the usual. I got all crafty and made DS a diaper. And I've finished knitting half of a pair of longies (so I have one leg of the pants done!). DH is traveling this week, but I have lots of plans to keep myself busy!
Our weekend was pretty good. It went by nice and slow for a change. We mostly just hung around the house and did some pre-spring cleaning and organizing. Still chipping away at the kitchen renovation. We had FIL and soon-to-be BIL over for dinner yesterday and that was nice.
Thanks for the well wishes guys!
Ginger I would love to see some pics once you get your range in!!
