Snow does not make you exempt from using your brain!!!

Almost every car in our parking lot has about 4 feet between them today.  I had to park waaaay down the street!  Boo!  Parking is not a new concept, this is not a new parking lot, it's NOT THAT HARD PEOPLE!!!

This is one of my biggest snow related pet peeves because there is really no excuse for it.  Unless they are all 16 year olds and started driving YESTERDAY there is no need for such haphazard parking!!

On the bright side though I ended up parking across the street from a coffee shop so I'm starting my day with a delicious latte.  :-)

Yeah it sure is.  I can't imagine how bad yesterday would have been if it hadn't been a holiday!!  Yuck.

  • I agree - today blew!  I got stuck behind a person driving 10 miles an hour and was straddling the white line so essentially took up both lanes. 10!  Not acceptable!!  Days like today make me understand road rage because I was feeling it.  The roads aren't superb - but they're 20 times better than yesterday.  blech.  I need anxiety meds to drive these days.  Winter should draw itself to a close - I'm over it.
  • While leaving my house at 6 am sucks... it sucks less than having to deal with the parking and traffic you guys are describing :)

I'm allergic to mornings.  If I don't absolutely have to get up I can sleep and sleep and sleep until the last possible second.  I REALLY wish I was a morning person!!  Is there a magic pill for that??  :-)

I'm so not a morning person either.  I didn't have to come into work until 11 yesterday and it was awesome to sleep in.

Ha!  <3   I tell people I have eternal morning sickness ? maybe being allergic to mornings a real thing.  Last couple weeks have all been 6 am mornings and it practically killed me.

At my office, plowed out some of the spaces that had been buried for several weeks so our parking as actually increased even with the new snow.

I am so not a morning person either.  I have to drag myself out of bed.  On the weekends, I can sleep until 10 or later, no problem.

The no traffic/parking headache issue is good motivation though.  There is also something much more relaxing about being the first (or one of the first) people in the office in the mornings.

    That's all I've got :)

I can talk myself into or out of a lot of things when I'm half awake in the morning.  Usually I can easily talk myself into sleeping a lot longer  :-)  My old phone didn't have snooze but my iPhone does which makes it so easy to say, "One more snooze...." about 10 times like I did this morning.  :-)  I'm sure I got no quality sleep for that hour but it felt so nice to snuggle in my warm blankets...  I LOVE sleeping!!  :-)

  • I didn't think today was that bad, but then all my co-workers were late so maybe from different area's it was rough...I come from the NE Metro and have over a 20 mile commute.  Left at 7:20am, stopped and got something to eat, and was at the office by 8:02am.  That's pretty good for me...But I also didn't break the cardinal rule...no freeway driving Monday-Wednesday!
