Can this day please be over?
First of all, we find out that there will be more reductions than expected so I'm super stressed about my job.
Then, I text my brother to say happy birthday and he tells me to look up an article about his friend whose funeral they just had yesterday. The friend was 21, was shot in a road rage situation (but apparently he pulled the first gun.) So, now I'm worried sick that something terrible like this is going to happen to my little brother. (Who doesn't have a history of making the best choices and has serious anger issues.)
Can this day just be over? I just want to curl up in bed and forget about it!

They live in Abilene. There are so many different stories going on about it that who knows what really happened. His name was Austin David if you're so inclined to Google it.
So sorry Jess. What a horrible situation. Regardless of how it got to that point, its heartbraking.
As for the job cuts I am seeing more and more comments from teacher friends saying the same things. Lots of prayers!
