I like that it's Tuesday, and not Monday. Sorry to those that didn't get yesterday off.
My birthday baking bonanza was a bit of a flop. I totally spaced and didn't buy buttermilk for the cake batter, which isn't a huge deal, because you can substitute things for it, but I think it might have contributed towards the less than stellar finish. I forgot to adjust the oven temp for the fact that I was using dark muffin tins, and then over cooked them anyways, sooo, the cupcakes were pretty darned dry and just kinda "meh". The icing came out kinda weird and just wasn't enough to salvage the cupcakes.
Other than that, it looks like we're actually booking a trip to the Domincan today! It'll be our first AI trip.

I didn't get yesterday off, but I'm still glad that it's not Monday! I do feel like it should be later in the week though - Friday seems so far away.
I'm feeling a little off today with a headache and fatigue. I'm hoping I get enough energy to fit in a quick workout this evening since I already skipped yesterday. Boss is out of the office today, so I should be able to duck out early.
Yay for booking Domincan. That was my first AI as well, and first vacation with DH and I have great memories. When will you be going? I'm so ready for a vacation, and am counting down to Australia (three weeks tomorrow!!!).

I'm home today and glad to be by myself. I'm still debating whether I want to try and go for a run on the treadmill at the gym. I'm trying to convince myself that that's a good idea and then I can go to BulkBarn and buy chocolate and just eat that all afternoon.
I'm going to make tuna cakes for dinner and then we're going to go to my Dad's tonight and take over some flowers.
Raynes that sounds like so much fun. I am super jealous. I can't wait to be able to take a vacation with just DH.
Today is another crazy day at work. I have been here since 6:00 a.m. as they are not making us do mandatory OT, but it is highly encouraged.
On a side note, I just found out that I am going to Chattanooga, TN for a few days for work (3/15 - 3/17). The only plus side is I get to fly down on the Corporate Jet and don't have to deal with the big airlines.

This is my real Tuesday, not fake Monday... but it's ok. The snow was just enough to be a little annoying, but I got into work fine. Nothing big going on here... now that my cold doesn't have my head so stuffed up, I'll prob do some cleaning up around the house since I won't be around this weekend.

Morning ladies. I'm so happy it's Tuesday and not Monday. I'm definitely looking forward to the short week.
I'm exhausted today. B and I got home about midnight from Vegas, and the two hour time difference, plus the fact that we didn't get to sleep before 2 AM every night has left me wanting to curl up in bed. So my goal today is to focus at work and just get through the day.

Good morning. I'm glad it Tuesday, too. We had just enough sleet and snow last night to be a nuisance.
My boss is in today after being out for three days and that means that he will be running from office to office being all up in everyone's business all day. He's already been in here twice to yell about the phone service, which is still not working. I get that this is a huge problem, but I am doing all that I can to get it running. It's not like I work for Verizon and just flip it on. Any the co-worker that I usually talk to and eat lunch with is out today, so I don't even have a sounding board today. It's going to be a long day.

Good morning! I had a total baking fail yesterday too. I made a German Chocolate cake for my co-workers birthday. I didn't let the cake cool enough before covering it so this morning the top of the cake was stuck to the lid of the cake pan. I'm going to do my best to cover up the sloppy mess with the icing.
Tonight I'm going to workout then watch Teen Mom 2 - I'm seriously addicted to that show!
I'm here, and walloped by my 4th cold in 8 weeks. Anyone want to trade immune systems? I just slept for 13 hours and I'm still totally exhausted and gross.
On the plus side, I made cookies yesterday and they're very tasty. Do you think that'll cure me?
Raynes - I'm so jealous of your trip. I really wanted to take one this March break, but Phil only gets 10 days off a year and we're using that up for Victoria/Kauai/Maui this summer.

I really could use 3 day weekends, every week.
I cooked/baked a ton this weekend, cinnamon rolls, soft pretzels, new dinner meals. It was a lot of fun.
raynes - I've never been there, but I've stayed at two Riu resorts and both were nice. Hope you have fun.
Exactly one month from today, I will be landing in AFRICA!
We stayed at the RIU Palace in Playa del Carmen for our honeymoon, and LOVED IT! (caps necessary.) At the shows each night, they'd sing this song, "I want, I want to go to RIU! I want, I want to to go RIU!" Sometimes when it's yucky outside or I'm having a bad day, I sing it to Josh. He looks at me like I'm nuts.
I work tonight, but a friend is coming over for lunch... I ordered pizza, because it sounded delicious and I never get it because Josh gets it at school all the time and never wants it!
Good morning, all. Pretty good long weekend over here for the most part. I was able to make some Mexican sugar cookies that were delicious, but managed to give most of them away at a party for H's newest project. But they went over well, so that's good.
Got some running in, including a long run on Saturday that was great (despite a very windy day). Also kinda, sorta picked a fight with H over something stupid and even though I apologized and we made up very quickly, I still feel like a big ass.
Today I made an appointment to see a counselor about kids and am typing up a list of things we made over the summer during some discussions we had. Tonight is laundry night--joy!

I am in a bit of a work funk. I am hoping it passes soon because I am pretty unhappy here at the moment!
Other than that, I am good. DH may come to meet me for lunch which I am excited for since he will not be home tonight.
Morning! Tomorrow will be my Monday, since Philly SD closes for pretty much any type of precipitation at this point (not that I am complaining). So today I will be lounging around until later this afternoon when I will head to the house to shovel. Tonight we are picking out the stain for our newly refinished hardwood floors.

We had an annoying amount of snow and ice too, but nothing major. I just can't wait for that tease, Spring, to come around. One more storm and I might lose it.
I applied for a couple of really interesting jobs in some exciting industries, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! We're going to the Buckeye's basketball game tonight for husb's b-day (yesterday) so I'm ridiculously excited and wearing an obscene amount of scarlet and grey to work.
I'm so glad that I took yesterday off for the holiday. It's only a floater for us, so I had to decide last week. I worked Saturday, so it was great to actually get the normal 2 day weekend I'm used to. I still have a comp day from Saturday that I need to decide where to use. I think it might be a quick morning decision, though. Hopefully the office is quiet that day. We're one worker short now that he found a new job.
My boss brought in girl scout cookies. I can't stop smiling and eating them. I totally spaced on buying them again this year and it was a bad decision. I need me some Thin Mints at all times in my freezer.
After a super busy morning, i can't wait to lounge around the office for a bit and then head home to snuggle in.

First of all thank you for all your support after my craptastic day yesterday. I've decided there's nothing I can do but just wait.
Today I am going to the humane society with one of my best friends to maybe get her a puppy after work. She went over the weekend and met a few pups that she wants my opinion on.
Tonight I'm going to the gym with DH, and then I plan on relaxing I am exhausted. I'm still kinda crampy from the failed attempts at the HSN yesterday, so I may just swim a mile or so instead of my normal cardio.
