So this morning I sat in my car for an hour instead of moving it for alternate side parking rules. I'm off this week, so I didn't want to have to keep finding a new parking spot.
While sitting there, a woman knocked on my window and asked if I could move my car up a bit so she could fit her SUV. I said sure, and moved closer to the car in front of me. She then came up two more times asking me to move closer to this other car. By the third time I said I couldn't anymore because I needed room to get out too, and told her that if she was having this much trouble she should try and find a different spot. Was I totally off base? I am so close to the car in front of me, I couldn't walk in between the cars. I really don't know what else she expected me to do. Was I jerk for saying no the third time?
Re: parking ettiquet
I think that was very nice of you to move more than once. I would have told her to either learn how to park in this city of ours, or - go scratch.
LOL
I think it was fine for her to ask once, it was pushing it to ask twice (okay, maybe she was desperate) and rude to ask three times.
You were there first and she can't just bully you into rolling-up so far that you can't get out after she's parked up your asss.
