Tuesday sucks again
Last night I went home, ate, finished a book, then we watched TV all night and both fell out on the couch where we stayed until this morning. And that's what I think of Monday.
I did make hard boiled eggs and savory oatmeal as well as cut up some veggies for lunches and packed my lunch and gym bag.
Oh and this stupid letter project is still hanging in my atmosphere, which pisses me off. It will be out today OR ELSE!
Snow here this morning. The train station parking lot was a sheet of ice. I saw a cop fall down and knock himself OUT. I told the driver of the shuttle bus then skedaddled so I didn't miss the train. I was slip sliding away all the way up the sidewalk to the platform. Eff you ice and eff you winter.

No snow or ice here, but it dropped from the mid 70s yesterday to being a high of 40 today, yuuuuuck!
Yesterday afternoon sucked ballz for me...mega. Long story short, my boss who I had words w/ 2 weeks ago told me that he saw no point in talking to me because I'm just plain rude. WOW! I was shocked! I was so pissed off I was making a fist w/ my left hand to try and distract myself and hurt my wrist in the process, go me! I came home and promply made myself a drink and waited for Don to get home. Once he got home we went to the tattoo parlor his Dad goes too. For Don's birthday his Dad got him a $500 certificate for a tattoo there. Don wanted to make sure what he wanted was ok since he's trying to cover an old tattoo on his arm. His first appointment is Monday...it'll take about 10-12 hrs to complete. Then we went to dinner close to there, an awesome bbq restaurant...so yummy! By the time we got home it was after nine so we just watched AFV on Hulu then crashed.
I seriously need to leave this job!!!

our friends and my 16 month old goddaughter are staying with us for a WEEK. i love them and i love my goddaughter, but LAWD HAVE MERCY it is exhausting. its really nice to play with little Olive though
it is not really nice to hear her start crying at 5:40 am on my days off. or ever.
yesterday i was asked to be in two weddings in summer of 2012 and i am so excited
so much wedding fever! its fun and i am so excited for all of my friends.
i signed up for a 5K--it is in less than a month and today i start training for it. i am really excited!
other than that, nothing exciting at all. i hate tuesdays but today is not so bad for me since i had yesterday off. except i have to participate in a photo shoot today and i look like CRAP. and im really too busy for a photo shoot.

Blah. It's Tuesday. I should be happy since it's a furlough day and I'm off but I'm not. I slept on the couch last night so I wouldn't keep Jeremy up all night with my coughing and my back is hating me today. Or maybe it's from overdoing it yesterday. Or both.
Since we were both off yesterday, we went for a walk down by the river (we're guessing it was close to 4 miles) but it felt great being outside. We stopped for some lunch at a cute little restaurant downtown and then promptly went to Home Depot to get stuff for the yard. $400 later and we now have half completed flower beds. Good lawd those stupid red bricks are heavy and so are those stupid red lava rocks. They do look better but we're still a ways away. The only good thing is that it's considered an improvement to the house so we get to take that off next months rent. Wee!!! And we're going to get a garage door opener (another rent deduction!) later this week.
I need to clean this house, go get my new license, and head to the bank to change my name and then open a joint account for us.

Shauni - fun, but tough. Having anyone share your space for a week is hard, especially some little one who cries at 5 a.m.! Enjoy the time as much as you can.
I am heading to the doctor today. This sinus suckage that I've been dealing with for a month is too powerful for my neti pot and OTC meds. I need to kick this to the curb.
I'm also researching possible Relay For Life sponsors today.
Jen-ditto on the boss shiz. It sucks! I deal with it daily STILL, and I hate hate hate it.
Hella hard to get up this morning. Pug face was all up on me wanting to snuggle and I had to leave our shared warmth for the cold cold bathroom.
Was all ready to have a "good" day w/ my ex boss, with a new attitude. Then she went around to EVERYONE in the office and said good morning, save me. Shocker. Such the b-word, this one. I try not to take it personally, but it's not easy. Why do I have to make this big effort to be the bigger person, when you are the FREAKING MANAGER! Poor form, lady.
Had a great, relaxing, fun-filled weekend. Saw friends, played w/ babies and children, drank too much, gambled in Blackhawk and made a biggest loser bet w/ my brother. 7 more days of eating like shiz, then I'm going to hit the grindstone and take $200 bucks from brother.
Ugh, I'm here, trying to keep my head above water with work. Things are really nuts. I was supposed to go to a conference in SF on Thurs-Fri, but with work so busy, I'm only going to go for the day and leave after my presentation. That'll make for an extra long day, but at least I'll be able to do a full days' work on Friday.
We spent yesterday morning cleaning the house top to bottom, because my ILs are coming into town this weekend. We're still trying to figure out how to keep them occupied, but at least the house is clean!

2sDay has been okay so far - NST this morning, then headed to work (with McMuffin in hand). already got a couple things checked off my to-do list for today.
After nephew went home last night, we finished painting the walls of the nursery and spent $300+ at Lowe's (I feel you emily). But we got new blinds for our room and the baby room, floor trim, closet organizer and curtain rods. And we decided that rather than buying custom bifold doors for the closet or rigging whatever we could find, we'll just rip the frame off the closet and start over. Really...not good for my delicate emotional state right now. Hopefully it's a quick/easy job - but who am I kidding? I'll be starting to paint trim tonight while K hangs the blinds in our room. Furniture to be picked up on Saturday...

And, I hate ice on the driveway. I'm hoping tonight I don't have to back into the neighbors drive across the street to gun it up our driveway. BUT, who knows!
Happy Tuesday! I had off yesterday and did a ton of errands. DH worked because it's considered a floating holiday for his company, meaning he can take the day off or save it to use later in the year. He chose to save it for when we go on vaca. When he came home, he said it was nice to have a little housewife and have the house clean, errands done, and dinner cooking. If only I could stay home lol. Gotta wait until we have kids.
Exciting news is that my mom called and confirmed that my aunt in San Francisco wants us to come out and visit her. She has been completing a program to learn how to train seeing eye dogs and she's graduating! We'll go stay with her, see the graduation, go into San Francisco for a couple days and take a drive out to wine country and tour a vineyard. April 28 - May 3! I am SO excited and airplane tickets were actually very cheap. $288 round trip from Boston non stop to San Francisco on Jet Blue. I think that's a pretty damn good deal!
You'll be close to us Cali girls! SF is an hour 15 min drive on North 101 for me.
