What music are you listening to right now?

I'm in need of some new stuff. I just picked up Mumford & Sons, which is folky and I'm enjoying it, but I seriously need to improve my music library!

Re: What music are you listening to right now?

  • Right this instant I'm listening to The Black Keys on Slacker Radio.

I recently downloaded The Naked and Famous which I think is kinda MGMT/Passion Pit-esque... also listening to Adele (like sreihing and leo), Vampire Wkd, Mumford & Sons, Arcade Fire, and of course Lady Gaga Born this Way (can't resist)

  • Mumford and sons is awesome, as are the Black Keys.

Another rock-ish enjoyable album is Cage the Elephant (album same name).  I also just downloaded and have been listening to the newest Finger Eleven album, and I'm really enjoying it.

They did Ain't No Rest for the Wicked, yes? I love that song.

    I'm still stuck on:

    Mumford & Sons

    Avett Brothers

    Florence + The Machine

    Black Keys

    The XX

    The Civil Wars

    (new) Radiohead

    Muse

    Lissie

    Vampire Weekend

    Arcade Fire

Pretty  much this plus Zac Brown Band (think Southern Rock), Lady Gaga, The Fray, Bright Eyes.

  • Agree with Adele, Mumford and Sons, Arcade Fire, Florence + The Machine and the Black Keys.  Also on my playlist all the time are a few lesser known bands - Delta Spirit, Dawes, Deer Tick and Dr. Dog.  I call them the killer D's, all really awesome.

    Now jumping domestically.

Well that was a crazy couple of years.

I'm going to see Dawes this weekend! Super small venue, hole-in-the-wall, dive club. I'm stoked. Be jeal.

Wicked jeal!  They're the only one of the killer D's I haven't seen live and I'm dying to.  I'm hoping my chances increase once we move to LA since it's their home turf and all.

    Enjoy!
