  There are a lot of hotels within a short driving distance from the park.  Within about 3-5 miles from Hershey Park on route 39 are SpringHill Suites by Marriot and Country Inn & Suites which are both newer (Country Inn & Suites only opened in 2010).  Off the I-81 exits towards Grantville there's a Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn, and I think a Main Stay.  That's probably about 15-20 minutes from the park. 

  From the other direction there are also hotels in Hummelstown which is about 5-10 minutes from the park...those are Hilton Garden Inn and the Comfort Inn.

  I think if you look through those you should be able to find something to work for your visit.

  If you're just looking for a place to stay White Rose Motel is very affordable and clean.  There aren't a lot of amenities (there is an outdoor pool though depending on time of year for your visit).  We stayed there last summer for one night and the owners were very friendly and helpful.  There is no breakfast there, but if you leave there to head into town the Hershey Pantry has a wonderful breakfast at a good price!  The motel was only about 10 minutes to the park, outlets, etc.

  If you are staying for more than a day or two.. I like to use vrbo.com.   I think it's nice to have a bigger space and normally for the same price as a hotel if not cheaper.  We did a girls weekend there last year and got a whole apartment with two bedrooms, bath and kitchen and the lady was awesome for $90 a night. She also had horses that she let the kids pet and ride which was an added plus.  If you are interested message me and I can give you more information
