Random Question - What temp?
What do you keep your thermostat at in winter?
How about in summer?

Re: Random Question - What temp?
We don't have a thermostat, just two electric radiators... in the winter... all the way up, in the summer, outside lol.
The A/C has a thermostat and when it's in and on its usually at 69
We have a drafty old two-story house. Hopefully we'll be able to put new windows in next year, which will help. But for now, we have to keep the thermostat at around 69 during the day (if we're home), just to keep the downstairs comfortable. The bad part is, that means the upstairs will be around 80 most of the day. We have 2 vents we keep open up there (our bedroom and the one in the stairwell). At night we turn it down to 66 and that makes it just bareable upstairs. I hate it. If it were just me, I'd turn the heater off at night and just use a bunch of blankets. But Keith is delicate. lmao
In the summer, I think we keep it around 72 most of the time. And at night, it's pretty damn hot upstairs most nights. I really can't wait to get new windows.
I'm sure we also need more insulation.

In the winter we keep it at 69-70 during the day and 68 at night.
During summer we keep it 71-72 during the day and 69-70 at night.
Yeah...our gas/electric bills are high.

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermIn the winter...not warm enough....between 68-70...the 70 is as high as Brian will let me put it. I am always cold.
In the summer it is in the 60s...the a/c is usually set at 68
We must have thick skin or something, lol. In the winter we keep it set at 65 during the day and 60 at night.
But we occassionally turn it off, like last week in was in the 40s and 50s here so it was turned off the entire week.
Our apt must have some great insulation though b/c the thermomstat reading usually says 67-71.
ETA: In summer I'm not sure, I think around 72.

In the winter we keep it between 66-70 but that is only because of L. Before we had her we kept it anywhere from 60-64 just to save the money.
During the summer we have to put window A/C's in and they all get set a little differently. Downstairs is usually set 68-70, our bedroom we set at 66 and L's room get set at around 70.
In the winter, when we are home (and awake) thermostat is at 68. While we are at work or sleeping it goes down to 60.
In the summer, our thermostat is set to 72 during the day and 68 at night for the A/C.
Right now it's set on 65, which is pretty chilly but I prefer snuggling over being hot any day.
Summer - we hardly ever use our AC. Our house is on two acres of open land and it comes off a portion of a farm so the breeze we have is amazing. We open the bay windows, front door and patio doors and usually the office window. I absolutely love the smell of our house in the Spring/Summer.
We keep it at 68 when we're home and drop it to 65 during the day while we're at work. We always keep throw blankets on the couch.
During the summer the heat is turned off and sadly can't remember where we keep the temp at. I want to say around 70ish.

Winter: 67 during the day, 60 at night
Summer: 75 during day and 68 at night (until DH installs a ceiling fan in our room we are going to fight over the temp settings in the summer).
Okay we are going to sound insane in comparison...Ours is between 62 and 67 when we're home/awake and 55 when we're away or asleep...we do use a space heater in our bedroom and bathroom, it has lowered our heating bill so much doing it this way and in a drafty old house with pre1930s windows (seriously I don't think they've probably ever been replaced), a cracked window, and no insulation you do what you have too...hopefully we'll have new windows in at least the living room and nursery before we have kids :-)
In the summer I think I have it at about 70 on the only window AC with a temp setting and we only run one floor at a time...when we're about ready to go to bed, DH goes up and turns on the AC up there and we turn off the ones on the first floor...
I keep it at about 60 in the winter-and pile on the blankets. If it is super windy and makes the house extra cold I may turn it up to 65 or 70.
We don't have AC so we just open all the windows and blast fans in the summer.
