Had my 21 wk check up (there's a funny story in here)
So my mom came with me because H couldn't leave work.
So they did a full fetal scan again, b/c the one I had 4 weeks ago displayed a low lying placenta, a choroid plexus cyst on the brain (unilateral) and couldn't see all 4 chambers of the heart. Good news: heart is strong and we saw all 4 chambers, placenta moved up (good), and the cyst is still there but it's the only (weak) marker they found and with my blood work and all else they've seen, absolutely NO reason to be concerned at all. Yeaaah! And we're still on team green. And my weight is in check (so that's cool also).
So here's the funny.
My ass has gotten big. I know this. Ass and thighs. Seriously, like move over J Lo and Kim K...J-Ad is up in this biatch. Some of you know I am just starting to get a bumpity bump. So my mother asks the doctor if I was carrying in the back...you know, because my a$$ got big and I'm barely showing in the front. What the wha? So my doctor and I are hysterically laughing. Doc than says I'm not really showing because of the amount of abdominal muscles I had built up my stomach just has not given in yet- Solid (thank you dancing and working out religiously!!!- I would have preferred her say I wasn't showing because of my stone chiseled abs, duh). The doctor said it will probably grow (bump not ass) more in the next 2 weeks. But now my mom is SURE we're having a girl because I'm growing everywhere.

This is how my sister was when she had a girl. With her boy-she was all belly. With her girl she got a huge butt (she never had one before). I agree with Mama!
I am going to have to disagree! I was all belly. My thighs/butt are actually smaller post baby and I am down a size in jeans in some brands.
For that reason everyone guessed it was a boy (I mean 95% of people, ridic)...but I knew, deep down in my soul, it was a girl. I would have been shocked if it had been a boy.
I adore the fact that she asked if you were "carrying in your back"...oh dear!

Man, I carried Nate everywhere. I went up 2 pant sizes after he was born because of all the extra in my butt and thighs. But my belly was so big while pregnant, no one even noticed. Ridiculous.

My mom basically did the same thing to my sister. She'd (quite often) say that since my sister's butt and thighs had grown so much she HAD to be having a girl. I'm still surprised my mom didn't go up in flames from some of the evil looks my sister gave her after hearing those comments. Me? I got big all over.
Oh, and my sister did have a girl.
