Since you ladies are so wonderful at praying and thinking of others, I hope you don't mind me posting another thoughts and prayers request. Yesterday the two year old son of friends of ours was taken to the hospital and listed in critical condition. He apparently stopped breathing during his nap and his heart stopped. It turns out that he has a bad case of pneomonia. From what I understand, the doctors expect him to pull through however right now the question is, was there any brain damage. It was so heartbreaking last night to read the FB updates that his parents would post. They are obviously devastated. And it could be another day or two until the doctors know anything. Please keep them and their little boy in your thoughts and prayers. He is really such a sweet little guy and cute as a button. I really hope that he pulls through this okay.
Update: And not a happy one. The doctor think that he (his name is Josh) has meningitis. He can't run the tests to find out for certain because of Josh's brain swelling but all the signs point to that. Also, from the tests they've ran so far, the worst case scenerio is that Josh is completely brain dead. If they shut off the machines, he won't be able to breath on his own and die. Best case scenerio is that he will have some functioning in his brain but will probably never be himself again. He won't be able to take care of himself or even show signs of recognizing people.
I'm still praying for a miracle. I just can't believe that a little child can go from being happy and healthy one day to brain dead the next. This is all just so crazy! Please continue to pray for him and his family, especially his parents. I can not even begin to imagine what this must be like for them and I really am afraid for them and how they will handle this for either scenerio.
And thank you for all the prayers and kind thoughts. It means a lot to me and I am sure it would mean a lot to them. It is all in God's hands now.
