A friend of mine from high school and college constantly posts about something that is wrong with her on FB. Feeling gross about what she eats, headache, stomach issues, coming down with a cold, multiple doctor appointments, etc. It is so annoying! And she constantly posts on her own posts. Just to give you more details in case you didn't get them all from her paragraph posts. I jokingly called her a hypochondriac and she flipped out on me.
She has major body issues and struggles with eating disorder/weight issues so she's always posting about what she ate or didn't eat, her workouts, double workouts. Really, it's a little overkill. I understand that this is an issue for her, but come on!
I told her I ate an entire box of GS cookies one day last week and the first thing she said was "OMG how much weight have you gained so far?!?" 13lbs, thankyouverymuch, I'm right on track and I'm not freaking out about my weight. Her food posts are starting to make me feel like a beached whale though. If I read one more post about how hungry she is from working out and that she only ate fruit and oatmeal all day long, I'm going to go off on her.
Re: annoying posts on FB
Don't let her make you feel bad about yourself. You look great, and 13lbs sounds like a great number just about 1/2 way though

This, plus the fact that the last person who should make you feel bad about your weight is someone with an eating disorder. Don't let her issues be your issues.

This, for sure!!! What a nut job.
I would hide her (delete her if you don't feel that she's a real friend). Not worth the stress of comparison.
Hide her from your feed so you don't need to see it.
That's what I would do.
I hid my first person a few weeks ago. It's awesome to not have to read all his posts.
If you haven't hidden her yet, I think you should. She's negativity you don't need!
Hide.
I have a friend who posts every month about how hard it is to pay bills. She and her husband both have good jobs, if they have trouble paying bills that means they're not doing a good job of managing their money... I would be embarrassed to post something like that for the world to see. Everyone doesn't need to know my financial troubles, just like everyone doesn't need to know my health and psychological issues (whatever they may be). I don't understand the need to share that kind of information.
HIDE!
The hide button has gotten so much use out of me lately due to people posting stupid crap that shows their ignorance that I have actually been driven to the point of deleting people and not giving a crap.
I HATE people who post TMI on facebook. Finances, health issues, etc...hypocrites also piss me off. Wow. I could go off on a terrible tangent here. Maybe I just did. I'm mad now, though.
I could not agree more. I don't think the whole world needs to know what's going on with my body or my finances. She is definitely a "woe is me" type person who does it for the attention. I'm surprised she hasn't figured out that no one cares b/c she's the only one commenting on her posts.
