I've actually never watched Bachelorette before. Does anyone know when it typically airs? I'm thinking it's summer? Or is it fall?
Our friend, C, was over last night and I totally bombarded him w/questions about being on the show (which he loved, lol). His dad is estatic and his mom is worried about the practicality of it all. C put in his 2wks at work and flies out to LA on March 12 to begin filming.
He was told to bring clothes for any kind of climate (winter jacket, swim trunks, etc) and to plan on being there from anywhere from 3 days to 2 months. They take away his cell phone and he has to deactivate his FB account. How crazy is that?!
We talked about the girls and he said he's really hoping that it's Ashley H, so my fingers are crossed for him that Brad chooses Emily or Chantal.
He also said that in the contracts, if you're one of the final 6 people, ABC starts giving you a stipend to help with the cost of rents and living. And that the wedding, if the couple agrees to have it shown on air, will pay $10K per person (so $20K total) for hour of airtime. I think in the past those were 2 hour episodes? Either way, can you imagine?
ETA: C asked if I had told my "Nest-er, um is that what they're called" friends about making the show. Haha! I said had and you were excited to watch.

Brooke- I know! C said that he hasn't been happy with his current job for a few months now, so this was the "push" he needed to leave. However, I'm such a worrywart, I would hate to leave, knowing you'll most likely/possibly return, and not have a job to return too!
