Blogger question

When I am working on a blog entry, every time I go to insert a photo it always places the photo at the very top/beginning of the post instead of where I'd prefer it to be.  I end up cutting and pasting which gets very annoying and tedious.  Is there a workaround for this or some sort of option I am missing?

Re: Blogger question

  • First, your siggy pic is too cute!!

Do you have the cursor where you want the picture to go before trying to insert?

Even if the picture does go somewhere you don't want it to, you can just drag it to where it should be.

  • Hmmm... what kind of pictures are you uploading.  I usually use jpeg & have no problems.

ETA:  Ok, what I wrote was a lie.  I just went to insert a picture, to see how I do it.  I almost always insert them as a URL.  It's the bottom option when inserting a picture.  Have you tried it that way?

  • They are .jpg's - nothing out of the ordinary.
  • I have never been able to insert pictures in between text with blogger. I have always had to upload all my pictures first and add text around them. But then, I am also not able to copy and paste with in my own post either. So I am of no help really. But I do want to say I love the new siggy pic too!

  • Back when I use to work (and blog - haha) my work computer had a new version of blogger and I was able to insert pics where the curser was located.  It was so nice!  Now, on my home computer I can't (but I haven't attempted to find a new version of Blogger).

I totally know what you mean about uploading pics.  It's such a PITA to get everything moved around and sometimes all the settings get effed up too.

    HTH!

Love the siggy pic, and yay for a blog!

This is what I do, too. I upload all the pictures in the order I want them, then I add text. For my first lines of text, that will go before the first picture, I have to switch to html mode and type it in there. After that, I can just write in the regular compose mode. HTH!

  • This is why I no longer use blogger. I hated that it was impossible to insert pictures. Wordpress is much more picture friendly.

  • I always end up copying and pasting the html where I want the pictures to go after I write my entry...I know that doesn't help much either!

  • I just Add my pictures as I go and don't seem to have any problems. Or if I decide to add a new picture mine will just go where my curser is at that point. Maybe it is because I'm new to blogging and have the most recent version of blogger.
  • You are probably using the older version of blogger. Somewhere on your homepage or when you are writing a new blog, there should be an option to use the new version. Once you switch it, posting pictures will be 100x easier!
  • aaa haaaa!  I was using the old editor.  I found in the settings/basic tab that I had it set to the old editor.  Yay hopefully now it will be easier.
  • Switch to Wordpress and then use Windows Live Writer... EASY SMEASY!
  • YAY - glad you figured it out! :)
  • Definitely a million times easier with the new version. Glad you figured it out! :)
