Last night's Glee (spoilers)
So I have a few people on my FB who are all up in arms that last night's Glee totally glamorized and encouraged teen drinking.
Anyone agree? Disagree?
(I hate posting my opinion in the OP...)

They didn't get into it over there.
Yeah, I didn't think Schuster meant he would buy them real alcohol either.
ITA. My sister and I were allowed to watch some "edgy" shows as teens, but my parents always read what the content was before we watched it and I remember sometimes we weren't allowed to watch certain episodes. Thatseems like a pretty good system.
I thought the episode was the best one in a looooong time (well, other than Sue-icide) and Heather Moore's dancing as "key-dollar sign-ha" was freaking amazing.
And I watched a shitton of TV in high school and didn't drink until college.
And that is exactly how a rational person (like you) would react to this. You don't agree with every aspect of the show, you are aware that this is the nature of it, you enjoy it and choose to watch it anyway. I completely get that opinion. I guarantee however, that there are going to be some people that freak the eff out after last night's show.
Yeah, I saw that. Lame.

I do think they glorified it. They made it look fun, sexual and exciting with minimal consequences, other than not feeling well and throwing up. We all know that other consequences exist - because we are rational adults and have likely been there, done that.
For teens the age of the characters portrayed in the show, it likely didn't send a good message. But really, with Britney's strip tease/boudoir pose/essential nudity, and the sexual/overly sensual/borderline pornographic dance gyrations present in nearly every show, I don't think teens should be watching it anyway.
That said, I still find it entertaining
