DH's Cousin shot & killed
Please keep John's cousin Justin in your prayers. Justin's brother Bryan shot and killed himself Saturday. Justin isn't handling this well at all. He lost his mother, grandfather and only brother within a year. Justin was raised by John's parents from the time he was 14 (he's 21 now), so is like a brother to John. We went to the visitation last night. It was pretty rough. Bryan was only a baby - only 16....They don't know for sure if he was just playing with the pistol and it went off or if he did it intentionally. Police said it wasn't a typical gunshot wound for a suicide - whatever that means. Either way - it's horrible. He's agreed to go to grief counseling, but is saying things like he doesn't know if he can or even wants to go on. My heart just breaks for him.
