Hey everyone! I have a question about the ol' job search. I am graduating with my masters in May. I have a good friend from high school whose mother is in charge of hiring at a facility I'd love to work at. She mentioned to me a while ago that she'd help me in any way she could when I was ready to look for a job. It's been a little while since we've talked, but I've just started my job search and have already had a few companies get in touch about setting up interviews. I want to get the process going, since everything seems to be happening so quickly.
So how do I approach this? I don't want her to feel like I expect anything (like a job) - b/c I don't! Thanks!
Re: How do I approach this?
I'd contact the friend and tell her you're interested in working for your mom's company. Have her get you in touch with her mom and go from there.

Dido, it never hurts to utilize personal contacts. If they have any opening I'm sure she'll get you an interview after that the rest is up to you to ace the interview...although I'm sure she'd recommend you...
