OK I am trying to wrap my head around this one and I need some advice.
The boys are still in their cribs and I was hoping to keep them their until we left for camp. But Keaghan has now climbed out of his crib twice (none too gracefully, I might add) and Jack climbed out today (it was actually really cute, but still....)
So now I am wondering if I should transition them to toddler beds now (holy sh!t I am not ready for this!) or just wait...
The reason I want to wait is because they are in PnPs at camp and I think it would be a hard transition to get them used to the "freedom" of a toddler bed, then cage them in the PnPs for the summer, only to come back to the toddler bed at the end of the summer...
Thoughts? Any ideas are good ideas, so bring them on! Thanks!

can you set up the PNPs at home?
Two words: crib tent.
I would probably try a crib tent or set up the pnp at home. For Ben I put one of those foam mats down in front of his crib (alphabet blocks that connect) and I figure that will make it a little safer if he decides to get out. I have rails ready to go if we need to do an emergency switch to the twin bed that's always been in his room, but I love the security of the crib and knowing where he is. I can't imagine x2! Is there anything in the crib that could be helping them get out?
Katie, I don't think there is anything considering most of the time by the time they climb out they have already thrown all the blankets/stuffies out and pulled off the rail protectors...
and I am not sure that the PnPs are going to keep them contained too much better at this point, nor do we have the room to put them up unless we wanted to take down their cribs (tiny house, and they have the tiniest room)
I was thinking the same thing -- if they can get out of the cribs, then they can probably get out of the PNPs. Are you sure you'll be able to use them at camp? Are they your only option?
I don't want to scare any of you BUT I just wanted to put this out there! If they are able to climb out of their cribs they could get hurt badly if they fall out the wrong way while trying to get out! A guy that MH works with had this happen to his daughter last summer! She was trying to climb out of her crib and fell on her head and her arm and she ended up with a broken arm and had some internal bleeding in the front of her head!!! (she is fine now) BUT I cannot imagine going through that! Soooo......I would get out the toddler beds!
