gift cards on a registry

if you've already registered for wedding gifts, can you go back online and add "gift cards" to your registry so that someone who doesn't have your address can send you a gift card? (target and kohl's are the stores. and it's not me, it's a college buddy.)

I don't know about Kohls, but I thought Target had the option at the very end of a registry for people to select buying a GC.

For our registries, we were able to add things online. I wonder if in that same place you could add the gift cards.

In our registries, it was part of the registry settings. We just checked yes or no if we "accepted" gift cards. Then, when someone viewed our registry, it gave them the option of buying a gift card (at the very bottom) if they didn't want to pick anything on there. Most registries allow you to manage online, so it should be easy to do.
