We found our forever home

And then someone else put in an offer on it the next day. Crying I don't even think I can describe how sad I am. This house was absolutely Perfect. Capital p and everything. It had every single thing we want in our forever home, plus some, and the price was seriously incredible. Apparently we weren't the only ones who thought so.

I knew I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up about it but mentally, I was already moved in. The selling realtor told our realtor that there's a chance that the other offer won't go through so there might be a smidgeon of hope for us still. Keeping my fingers crossed!

  • I'll cross my fingers for you, the same thing happened to my boss and within a week they were signing papers for their current house. Good luck!

I believe in that too. We're going to look at a couple of other houses today so who knows what'll happen...

  • Your agent should suggest to you that you can put in a backup offer so you're first in line if that does fall through. You can put a contingency in there that it's backup only and that you get your earnest money back if you find something else while that one's still under contract. (...at least in the state of TN you can). Good luck!
