4 hour meeting
So, I knew that my ARD (the meeting we have annually for SPED kids or when any testing is done) meeting today would be long because we were giving a new diagnosis of Autism to a kinder student. Mom is not supportive to the school at all and has never come to a meeting...ever. She showed up today.
12 people, no lunches, no bathroom breaks, 4 hours later..... Our students had early dismissal today for curriculum planning for teachers. They got to leave at 1:20. I got to each lunch at 3 and then I just left, ha!
So, I get to teach this little guy math but I also get to teach him social skills. That means I get to go to kindergarten PE twice a week and work with him in there. THAT should be VERY interesting, lol! Thankfully, it's only 30 minutes at a time. Did I mention there are 84 students in Kinder...... OH, my!

That sounds like such a pain in the butt.
Sometimes I review child disability claims, and it amazes me the amount of parents that don't show up for IEP meetings and never even sign the IEP. Yet they want money for their kids disability. Wonderful parenting.
