Cleaning Microfiber Furniture?
How do you safely clean a pet stain off of a microfiber couch? I'm afraid of ruining it. Thanks!
Re: Cleaning Microfiber Furniture?
we unzip the cushions, and throw them right in the washer and dryer! they come out fantastic!
everytime i try to spot clean with water, i get a water ring, and it drives me nuts. we launder ours every 4 months or so (we have a couch-loving dog and two little ones, so they get dirty.)
We have a microfiber couch that you cannot unzip.
We also have a cat that likes to throw up all the time (despite everything we have done to help stop that). I use a wet paper towel with some dishsoap and spot clean. After I use a wet paper towel to get up the soap. Then I pat it dry and let it airdry. Sometimes it smells funny but after a few days it is fine.
I use plain ol' Dawn dish soap and and warm water.
I put a little dishsoap in a bowl, then fill with water. I dunk a clean (white) paper towl in the soapy water and blot the stain. I've removed anything from ink from a pen to red wine successfully.
This. If you blot with a terry cloth or absorbant towel thoroughly you won't get a water ring.
