It's the little things...
Evil VP is out of the office for a while today (YES), so elderly boss and I have been having a relaxing day and getting things organized. At one point he looked down and said "Oh, that's new!", and I assumed he was talking about my ever growing midsection. I realized he was pointing to my hands, and he said "Wow, that's some color, I like it!". I said thanks, and explained that I was hoping to conjure up an early spring with festive nail color, which gave him a huge laugh. So apparently the old man digs Essie's Turqoise & Caicos nail color, which completely makes my mid-day.

(excuse my preggo sausage fingers)

Re: It's the little things...
Have you told them yet that you're pregnant?
This! I thought you were going to do that last week?
Yes! I told the ol' man on Tuesday since I had to take off yesterday afternoon for my u/s and it's getting harder to hide. He seemed pretty happy about it (as happy as a frogetful 83 year old can be), and extended his congratulations to Kyle & I. I'm not totally sure he'll remember in the next couple of days, but I figured I'd at least put it out there.
I did not, however tell the evil skeevie VP the news. I figure he'll eventually find out, and I have no desire to share my personal happy news with him, since I'm sure he'd find some really lovely way to sh!t on it, as only he can do.

Me too! Essie makes some super fun, bright colors and they wear really well. My other favorite is "Lapiz of Luxury", which is sort of a periwinkle blue, very cute! They used to only sell it @ small boutiques, but I just found it at the Wal-Mart here in town, woohoo!

that is a fabulous color! I couldn't pull it off on my fingers at work, but I can see it being a great toe color for spring
