Sorry I've been MIA for so long... I really thought I would be able to get on sooner! Anyhow, thanks so much for all of the congrats and well wishes! We are all doing fantastic!
I'm sure you all saw on facebook that Margot Roselyn was born on 2/20/2011 at 7 lb 10 oz, 21 inches long. I was able to have the natural birth that I wanted. (Alyssa, I'm going to try to post my story here in a few minutes) We were in the hospital for 36 hours and have had company until yesterday.
Margot had her days and nights mixed up for a while, but she slept really well last night, so we're hoping it's a trend now! She's also breastfeeding like a champ!! She hated my right side at first, so my left side took a beating the first day, but we got that worked out too. At her checkup on Tuesday, she weighed 7 lb 3 oz and at her checkup today she weighed 7 lb 8 oz. The Dr. was shocked that my milk came in so fast and that she gained 5 oz in 2 days! He said she looks perfect and to keep doing whatever we're doing. Go Margot!!
I'm sore, but good and sooooo in love!!!! DH has been AWESOME!!!! He's an even better Daddy than I could have ever imagined and he has been so helpful in helping me recover! I never thought it was possible, but I think I'm even more in love with him now!
So, things are awesome right now! I've been checking in with you guys from my iphone at night during feedings, but haven't been able to reply, so hopefully I can get to some of that soon because I saw some very exciting things on here ![]()
Okay, off to write my birth story.....
Edited: wow, I must be low on sleep to put right instead of write. Oops!
