It's snowing a bit this morning, and is supposed to snow more tomorrow. Fun?
I'm off to Toronto after work today for dinner with my dad and step-mom to celebrate my birthday. Hopefully we can get home in good time after.
In other news, I finally got a new pair of black flats last night. I can tell I'm getting older because I picked comfort over pure fashion. I mean, they're still cute, but damn they're comfy. Best of both worlds?

I love flats. I am to tall. I will admit today I went to put on my heals and was like, "hell no" and quickly grabbed my flats. Comfort for me today.
Well DH is really sick, and is calling the doctor today. I now think Zach has it. I was up 1/2 the night with him. So between DH and Zach, I haven't had much sleep. To add, today is weigh in, and since I haven't been able to work out this week I believe I have a small weight gain. Boo. So dummy me what do I do? Yeah the boss brought in donuts, so the choclate glazed donut was so yummy!

I love to wear heels, but they're just not comfortable. So it's usually flats for me too. Maybe when it starts to warm up I'll get in the mood for skirts and dresses again.

I still prefer to wear heels, although not as high as I used to wear. I'm slowly moving towards flats though.
I'm just happy it's Thursday and the weekend is almost here. Over lunch, I was just having some fun looking at things to do while we're in Australia. Was looking at one tour that had breakfast with koalas and then feeding some kangaroos. That one may be a winner.

Good morning. Why isn't this week over yet? My job is really starting to wear on me, but logically, I know I have a pretty cushy deal here and if I'm going to have a kid, I need to stay here until that happens.
I had a monitoring visit this morning and I'm not ready yet, so more shots tonight and no IUI this weekend.

Nothing going on today... have an online training from 10-12, then I'm sure the rest of the day will drag. Maybe some Shredding tonight and who knows what the hell is for dinner bc our fridge is pathetically empty... maybe a store run is in order.

I alternate between heels and flats. I love them both.
My pesky cold is still here so I'm hoping for a quiet day today, followed by a quiet evening at home. Wow that makes me sound old.
Last night after work I enjoyed a Shamrock Shake from McDonald's...YUM! That was probably a bad idea though because now I want nothing more than to go back and get another one.
I'm a flats girl. I'll do heels sometimes, but get tired pretty fast.
Good morning! The day started off great--my coworkers and I were talking about our trip to Micronesia this year and doing some meeting/presentation planning. I cannot wait to go this year. We get to sleep in modified bungalow/tree houses. So excited!
Other than that, quiet day. No gym for me tonight since I ran yesterday, so that means I'll be making dinner tonight instead of H.
I also prefer flats. On casual Fridays people often think I am a student, since the 8th grade boys (and some girls) tower over me. If I didn't have to be on my feet all day, I would probably wear heels more often.
Pretty boring day, this week has been dragging. I have a car load of crap that has to be unloaded at the house today.
I wish it was the weekend.

Good morning all! I've been MIA from here for a while (still lurk though, duh!), but thought I'd say hi today. I've been super busy, but well. We find out tomorrow morning where we're going to be moving this summer, so that's exciting! Otherwise, this week has been kind of a crazy whirlwind. We didn't have power from Sunday night till yesterday, so that was an adventure. Today, I'll just be working from home.
raynes, yay for flats! I pretty much live in flats. I love heels too, but don't wear them very often. I'm tall enough as it is, and my poor footsies can't take them for too long.

Raynes - What kind of flats did you get? I'm on the hunt for some new black ones. There doesn't seem to be much cushion left in these.
sushi - You are taking my dream vacation. I'm still saving up for that trip some day. I think I quoted around 6-7K to finally go and do what I want. It might be a while.

This morning is another quiet one at work, which means it will be awkwardly quiet in the office most of the day. Hopefully I have a good lunch with my friend while she's on break from taking the bar exam.
Last night I finally started making a dent in cleaning some of our rooms that need to be rearranged at the house. I think there were 9 loads of laundry all folded on the guest room bed, with another 4 or so that need to go through the laundry still. It's so neverending. I really want to start washing the couch cushion covers, too, so hopefully we can find some good slipcovers. I'm tired of what we have and there's no real budget for new furniture right now.

Morning. I'm exhausted. We were supposed to get hit by a huge snow storm last night and it had me worried about getting to work, so I didn't sleep well. I was told even if the city shut down, we were to be here. ugh.
Funny everyone's talking about flats, I went to Nordstrom Rack on my lunch last week and got 2 pairs of flats and a pair of Keen maryjanes for my trip. I usually don't wear flats, so I'm trying to get use to them.

I'm working today and after work I plan to visit my parents for a bit and then get a haircut. For reals this time. Since DH has class tonight, I can eat dinner at my parents house and then go home to catch up on some reading. I have a ton of books on my to read list and I need to get on it. My house is full of sick people today. I'm not having fun at all. My husband had an ingrown toenail surgically removed Tuesday and then started throwing up last night. My kids are both sick, coughing so hard they are throwing up. Gibson has had to stay home since last Thursday from school. I'm at my wits end with all this and I don't feel too hot myself, but I guess that's the life of a mother. I had to take my dog to the spa this morning and have just had so much stuff go wrong today I feel like I should be drinking to calm my nerves a little. But on the + side, I'm sure there is an end to all this soon and things will start getting to normal soon.

Today was a crazy busy day, but overall it was pretty good. I had what I hope was a breakthrough conversation with a kid in my class who has been pushing the boundaries lately...he is a good kid--bright, funny, outgoing--but his humor is more mature and off-color than the other kids in my class and he is starting to say too many inappropriate things in class. He is a definite leader in the class, so he is starting to pull things off track--I'm hoping the conversation reminded him that he needs to know when to bite his tongue more often. We'll see...I don't want it to start becoming a discipline issue, so hopefully he'll pull it together.
Then at the end of the day they handed out paychecks...a day early. That doesn't bode well for having school tomorrow with the storm we are supposed to be getting. We have a field trip scheduled, I have TONS that I still need to do with my kids this year and schedule disruptions totally screw things up, and it will add another in-service day to the end of our year (making it 6 days AFTER kids are gone in June--oh so useful...), so all of those things suck. I'm not even excited about the prospect of a three day weekend...I need this class time damnit!
