Just wondering what everyone is up to this weekend? Brian and I are housesitting. Other than that, not much going on. Oh except going to see the Beatles show "Rain" in Boston on Saturday

Re: Weekend plans?
Lets see, I work Saturday, 12-4 which to me a lame waste of 4 hours on a Saturday, then we get to drive the 45 min or so, to the little town of NO WHERE aka our home town/ where our parents live. Then Sunday we get to go another 40 min drive to another town of No where special (they have a mall tho) so Mike can help his dad work on a friend house/ project type thing that he agreed to help with.
Then we get to drive the 40 min back to his parents and then get in our car and drive the other 45 min home. what a weekend huh! All I can say is there better be some good food somewhere in that mix or else!!!
Saturday me and DH are working on the house some more. (but YAY we finally got our counter tops installed yesterday). Then I'm meeting my cousins in Hartford.
Sunday DH has to work a show : Lame. My parents will hopefully head up to visit though!
On a funny note- DH has to work the Michael Bolton show at the Mass Mutual Center. I didn't even realize he was still around and performing. I told him to enjoy that smooth smooth music alllll night ha.
That's the old Springfield Civic Center, right? I'd already moved away when they started renovating it, so the first time I drove downtown after it was done it, was totally shocking. I think the last time I was inside the building was my friend's college graduation, in 1997, though my mom literally works across the street from it.
I believe so, I just moved up this way about 9 months ago. But I'm pretty sure that's what it was. I mean besides the basketball hall of fame, its the only other building in Springfield that you can't miss.
Ugh. This is not going to be a fun weekend at all.
My grandfather (dad's side) has been in a veterans assisted living for a few months now and we finally got the notice this week that they are coming for his home/contents due to reverse mortgage, none of the kids want it. The kids went yesterday/today to clean out anything important to them and now us cousins are going tonight/Saturday to go through anything we wanted. Bleh.
Also, they left a note on my mom-moms (moms-side, who passed in September) house that they are also coming for her home/contents due to reverse mortgage, none of the kids want it. We went last weekend and did some sorting and that was way harder than I expected but now we are sorta forced to do the rest of her place this weekend as well.
Sucks.
Kearstin thats awful
DH is away.....at a fraternity conference that he's presenting at....from tonight till sunday evening....
Tonight im going to one of my sorority sister's houses for dinner
Tomorrow is me time....couch, job apps, maybe some wine, and the tv
Saturday is lunch with a group of my girlfriends and shopping, then a jewlery party at night
Sunday is quiet and wait for my husband to come home
Getting fit for IVF!
Pretty much, though the freaky glowing basketball does all the work there.
We're going to try to squeeze in the last couple of Oscar movies we have left to see (The Kids Are All Right, which we have from Netflix, and we're going to try and see The Kings Speech and The Fighter on Saturday/Sunday. Definitely at least TKS, though.) We're also going to clean and prep our house for the pooch we are likely getting in the next couple of weeks, yay! And Sunday night is Oscar party night - fondue and wine and appetizers. (CoughAnd me drooling over Colin Firth in a tuxcough)
bloggity blog
Brooke, I've said it before, but your work sounds so cool!
We've had really busy weekends lately so this weekend we just want to relax.
Friday and Sunday we don't have any plans other than to chill and take naps, and Saturday afternoon we're driving an hour south to go have lunch with and visit with his grandparents. Mmm naps.
