Half AWing/half asking interview advice

So I have a second interview on Monday with the place I interviewed with today!  Yay!

So what's appropriate to wear to a second interview?  Do I have to wear a suit again?  I only have the one!  Dress pants with a nice top and cardigan?  Nice, work-appropriate dress?

Halp!

Re: Half AWing/half asking interview advice

  • Congrats! I would wear another suit. Could you switch out the pants for a skirt and use the same jacket?

Yay!! This was my thought. Not sure if you wore pants or a skirt originally but switch out your top and use another bottom that matches (if you have one) with the same jacket.

If you don't have a pencil skirt or suit skirt that you're comfortable wearing, I have several in a variety of sizes and colors. You probably have something but I figured I'd offer.

  • I agree with pp's and I'd wear another suit.

I've got some coupons for Banana Republic if you need to buy anything.

  • I'd wear a suit too - congrats on the 2nd interview!!

  • Thanks everyone!

And a f/u question... I wore pants to the first interview and I've never had a second interview so it's the only suit I have!  Is it okay to just get the skirt that goes with it and wear the same jacket?  And a different top obviously.  The suit is charcoal grey if it makes a difference.

I see no problem with this.

    I think so.

    That's definitely okay.

  • I would also wear a suit again and change up the top and the bottoms.  Congrats on the 2nd interview!!!

That's exactly what I'd do. With a skirt, a new top & different accessories it will be a completely different outfit.
