Which of the big movies has everyone seen? What were your thoughts on them? Any people that you're specifically routing for? Anyone have any fun plans to watch them?

My thoughts exactly. I love, love, loved that movie and everyone in it. It was awesome. I also saw & enjoyed The Social network, but I'm really annoyed that it's a favorite for best pic over The King's Speech. I didn't see Black Swan & I really wish I had.
The Kids Are All Right was not good at all. I can't believe that's up for Best Motion Picture.
For animated feature, I hope Toy Story 3 wins. Not often a cartoon can make me tear up.
Agree on The Social Network. It was good and enjoyable... but not Oscar worthy!
I saw Black Swan and still hope The King's Speech takes it. Absolutely.
DH and I don't go to the movies but wait for them to come out on DVD. So far we have seen The Social Network and Inception. Honestly, the socila network was a good movie, but I wouldn't give it an Oscar. As far as Inception, I totally hated it but I think that is because I really didn't understand it..I just don't think my brain works like that believing in the whole idea of the movie.
I really want to see the King's Speech, but think that is one I will have to watch alone since it really doesn't look like something DH will sit through.
I don't know what your DH's taste in movies is, but I would try & talk him into it. It was actually really funny. We laughed through most of the movie.
Ditto on The King's Speech for actor/supporting. I haven't seen all of the best picture ones yet, but I think that's going to be a tough pick.
I'll probably DVR it so I can read about the interesting parts on Monday and then go back and watch them. Or I'll watch while crochetting. haha
I only saw Alice in Wonderland. It was okay.
Last year my Dh and I rented all the nominated movies and we hated half of them. Like No Country for Old Men....really?! I want that 2 hours of my life back.
