If you went for a 3D/4D ultrasound...

Where did you go? I think we'd like to do this later on in the pregnancy and was starting to look at places.

Thanks!

Re: If you went for a 3D/4D ultrasound...

  • There was a location in Center for OBGYN in Providence near the mall.  It was the same girl that does the regular untrasounds.  they had seperate hours for the 3D ones.  I beleive the name was Advanced Ultrasound.

  • We got a quick 3D look at DD2 at my level 2 ultrasound.  It is amazing (and this was at 20 weeks; you'll get an even better look around 28-30 weeks) so I think you should definitely do it!  :)  Like Renee said, Center for OBGYN offers packages.  I would see pamphlets in the waiting area whenever I went to my appointments.
  • I went to baby's 1st impressions with J and visual baby with N. I preferred visual baby just b/c it wasn't as expensive, was closer and we didn't have a super long wait. THey also keep your images on file for about a year if you want a new cd down the rd.  When we went to 1st impressions, our appointment was at 10 and we weren't seen until almost noon. Our CD with images never worked and couldn't be replaced.

  • I went to the place at the center for ob/gyn that everyone else has mentioned with Domenic, and I went to The Visual Baby in Smithfield for Owen.  The service at the Visual Baby was terrible. There was no heat in the waiting room so it was absolutely freezing. The Tech showed up for work late that day, so they were 1.5 hrs behind schedule, and never called to tell us.  They rushed thru our appointment and never even ended up giving us the moving video we wanted of the baby saying that he wasn't moving...well duh, the guy never gave me my juice before our appointment.  There were a lot of disappointed faces in there that day.  I definitely recommend the other place over the Visual Baby.  Here's their site: http://www.advanced3dinri.com/  They are slightly more expensive but totally worth it for the better service.
  • We also went to Visual Baby.  I thougth they did a good job.  I went at 28 weeks and my little guy was breech so they let me come back 2 weeks later and he had flipped so we got some great shots.  The package we chose was supposed to be a 20 min ultrasound but we were in the room for at least an hour.

  • We were sent to New Beginnings in Prov for my Level II with Aidan and I loved it there.  Really nice place and I had DH check out the bathroom before we left b/c I was so impressed by all the marble, lol.  But overall we had a great experience there!
